  1. Wasn’t it meant to be the ‘early learning’ club for Top whilst Vichai ran Leicester until he wanted to hand the reigns over 🤷‍♂️
  2. Am I reading this wrong about consistency of Liverpool, it’s taken them 35yrs to get the 2 titles required to subsequently match Man U & those have come in the past 5/6yrs.
  3. It could be why Birmingham have a vision of building a 62k seater to tap into these semi finals & International games as well as NFL, concerts etc with the strap line of we are pretty central within the country to support most neutral travelling friends.
  4. Palace show Pace beats most things, Sarr unplayable we need to be signing pacey players
  5. Without buying anyone we have a starting 11 that should challenge Jacob Ricardo (C) Nelson. Soutter Thomas Skipp Winks Fats Bilal Mavi Daka Ricardo as inverted RB making a ball playing midfield and putting Thomas as the LCB. You still have the likes of Oki, James, Woyo, McAteer and all the lads from the academy…the rest can bloody do 1. Then add a few signings that could/should take a starting slot. They need to have pace & be around 23/24 or younger.
  6. A bit early again with bigging other teams up, Southampton are just as bad as us
  7. 4 subs already probably means we won’t be seeing Monga as you’d assume it’ll be Daka for Vardy at some point
  8. It should have been Reid & Facundo off for McAteer and Monga with Bilal moving closer to Vardy, we need pace ffs. Next subs after that should then be Ndidi, Soumare and Vardy
  9. People better be leaving
  10. But they don’t, they still buy players at 25-40m, this season they spent 127m fortunately offset by their sale of Solanke where they did manage to do a Leicester and stiff 64m out of Spurs somehow but that was basically the only sale. The season before another 127m spent with just a 1.5m sale, the season before that 83m spent & 0m sale 🤷‍♂️ They also like us must be offering incentives to sign for them, yes some will sign just to be in the premier league and will certainly use them as a stepping stone but pound to a pinch they are paying higher wages than they ever have and the longer the stay competitive that figure will rise, I just don’t see how they are keeping the right side of psr year on year. Granted this summer it looks like they are going to get a bumper cash injection from possible sales but they will still spend a vast chunk of that to be competitive, and if they keep the manager he will certainly want money otherwise he’ll be off also.
  11. Yeah that’s why it seems even crazier as they are expanding without closing so it must be up not out & no fans village type affair, just another 10k seats. Revenue from that probably doesn’t even push them over the £10m mark 🤷‍♂️
  12. Bournemouth are looking to buy back their stadium with a view for redevelopment. The current capacity is 11.7k & they want to expand that to 20k with a further potential add on of 3k, it’s peanuts in the big scheme & just gets me thinking about how they are achieving to fall within PSR now and especially in the future, can anyone advise where they sit within the rules currently & where they receive their revenue from? I know the easy answer is having a decent board and recruiting system but they are a premier league team with premier league overheads which only get more expensive with every season they are in. The stadium is a large part of the revenue stream for most clubs, Leicester with 32k capacity still only make around 15m per season from it & it has the ability to be used for other footballing & non football events, how much can Bournemouth get from its current 11k capacity and even the proposed 23k, also is it used for any other event? Man U & Spurs for example receive over 100m per season in returns on their stadiums, Everton will now also be generating a huge income from theirs, I get they also need to pay for these stadiums but at some point profit will out-way overheads/upkeep. As I say it’s great having a decent board and to be careful about transfers and salaries but once an established premier league team as they are now there is no way of kerbing those costs, to stay you inevitably pay, so it just amazes me how they are funding this.
  13. Christ Sky really can’t wait for Liverpool to be crowned champions. On Saturday report highlighting how they could be champions. Didn’t happen so on Sunday how they could champions Didnt happen so on Wednesday how they could be champions later that night Didn’t happen so today there’s another how they can be crowned champions on Sunday ffs they need 1pt we get it
  14. I’m not so sure, Rashford probably got more to his bow than Watkins with Watkins being the better out and out scorer currently. Not sure just looking in the here and now paints the right picture for Rashford, at 1 point he was 1st name on the sheet for Man U & England but lost his way coupled with all the issues at Man U. Watkins hasn’t always been this good he’s having a purple 2yrs or so but he’s 29 was he talked about like he is currently pre 27 like Rashford ,who is 27, a couple of seasons ago? They are probably both feeling the benefits of the Emery affect & a nice problem for him to have, if I could only pick 1 I think I’d probably fall on the side of Rashford with an eye looking at knowing what he can do when fully on it & being 2yrs younger than Watkins.
  15. Swap deal with Man U being mooted
  16. But he didn’t look at him surely it’s not a foul 😂
  17. Ben Youngs calling time at the end of this season, good luck to him for the future.
  18. Yep I think we saw that he’s not going to be getting up and down but if we were to play him in an Enzo style role is he in the question. I’m probably in the same camp as you now in that after seeing this season we need legs before we try anything specialist, coupled with seeing Man C still want 25m for him which puts us and probably most clubs out of reach for his particular skill set. Was really just curious how he’d progressed as he was 1 of the shining lights for us in that system.
  19. It’s easy, it starts at board level. They have promised funding to every manager since that ominous season with Rodgers, here RVN was promised funding in January only to be told when the window opened there’s nothing in the pot. They need to come clean about the money issues 1st and foremost, everyone needs to understand what they/we are playing with and do anything & everything to get back on an even keel or face dropping like Reading. Only then can we start to plan.
  20. Out of interest does anyone know how Callum Doyle has faired at Norwich, I can see he’s played in almost every game, scored 1 and assisted in 7 but has he been a standout player in the Championship or even just Norwich’s team? I doubt he’s going to make it at Man C now as they will be spending big to catch Liverpool, is he someone who we should go back for if we continue to play inverted FBs, has he played so well that Man C will price him out or have we moved on from him? We are heavily loaded in FB slots but if we manage a clear out should we be looking at someone like him or a more traditional up/down FB? Also appreciate it’s not the priority given the numbers there but more of a if we clean sheet it and re-build what do fans want in terms of style.
  21. What’s with the offered nothing in attack comments, With Ricardo stepping into midfield when we had the ball would it be normal for a teams LCB to bomb forward on an overlap with the RW?
  22. I’ll be interested to hear what they say about the disallowed Coady goal on Ref watch, I’m sure Dermot will say it’s a foul but if Sue and Warnock as ex-players say it was then might as well give up. I get the goal wouldn’t have made any difference to our outcome but it’s the principle, I quite enjoyed this comment from Blackwell “…and were perhaps unlucky not to break their home duck, Conor Coady’s header ruled out seemingly because Patson Daka looked at Alisson. Never mind physical contact, it seems eye contact is punishable too nowadays.” The Liverpool luv’in & their ability to win a title with a whopping 79pts will ensure all comments will revolve around them and it probably won’t get another mention. Which brings me onto, given the amount of hullabaloo over TAA I’m I right in thinking he is Liverpool’s greatest player of all time and they will fold if he doesn’t sign, jeeez! Decent player but not even in top 15 (probably even push out to 20) of Liverpool greats.
  23. Whittaker is a 🍆 The best sportsman don’t need to showboat they do the business whilst respecting their opponents. As you say Cameron certainly would have won the 1st bout & Whittaker knew that, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he feigned injury when they went over the ropes!
  24. 5th to 2nd due to pushing that extra try & conversion out to 17pt. Great performance in defence especially during the 2 yellows when BTL could / should have run riot 👏
