Some of these players aren’t fit to be playing at this level and I’m genuinely starting to feel sorry for some of them as it’s embarrassing. After our last relegation how are we still in a position where Ward is in the squad let alone playing. FFS this is disgraceful and it’s so ducking obvious to everyone.

It gets worse every week! Just cancel some contracts and put the kids in. This isn’t even league two standard

For some, the lots of extra travel is the point. Get to go and see a bit of the world, playing football along the way doesn’t sound like a bad gig. He’ll quickly become their best player, get a bit of exposure in Bangladesh and no doubt pick up some extra sponsorship deals over there too. Nothing to lose really, especially for a player who’s game time is quiet limited. It might even get him a big move, places like the US, Saudi Arabia and even Italy have huge pockets of Bangladeshi people - if you’re a team trying to get more of the community through the gate, it could lead to a decent pay check.

You can cherry pick any results you like, we got a draw with Spurs - Everton lost 4-0. We beat Bournemouth, Southampton got pasted by them. Wolves will pull clear in the same way everyone said we would pull clear in 2022/23? Nothing is certain and I think you’re picking all the negatives to make a point that isn’t really there. At the end of the day the bottom 6 are all in a fight, will all pick up shock wins and draws along the way, but ultimately non of us can say we are any better than the others for certain.

The question is, can we afford not to spend it?

Mads is the best keeper of all the teams in the bottom 7. Vardy will always score goals if he’s given the chances. Southampton, Wolves, Ipswich, Palace and Everton are all equally as crap as we are.

Am I right in saying that only Mahrez, Maddison, Kante and Fofana have been resold for profit in that time? The other big thing is the contracts they’ve been given - The actual transfer fee really doesn’t matter - it’s the frankly ridiculous wages, even by Premier League standards players have been put on. This makes them not only huge liabilities, but also as we’ve seen with the likes of Praet, Vestergaard, Soumare, Ward they are priced out of a move and we need to let their contracts run down.

Jamie Vardy has only had 8 shots on target this season, he’s got 6 goals - that is frankly a ridiculous conversion rate. To put into context, Ollie Watkins has had 21 shots on target for 7 goals.

If Vardy scored and assists after 3rd Feb he has another record.

The thing with Enzo’s style of football is, if you can play it with consistent top class players it’s brilliant and really effective. Where a lot go wrong is it’s awful if everyone isn’t great on the ball. In the Championship us, Southampton, Burnley etc. had the best players so we can play it, when you come up and you haven’t got the elite players at that level it’s asking for trouble. Hence why Southampton, Burnley etc struggled with their unwillingness to change the situation. Our Player of the Season last year doesn’t get near the Chelsea 11 or even bench most weeks - that’s the difference that allows Enzo to play and be really successful at the top end.

Apparently United are looking for a new sporting director that has overseen a Premier League win more recently than United, they must have also won the FA Cup in their role, have links and worked in a similar role in a club that plays in Europe and overseen at least one other Championship win. Anyone know anyone who fits the bill?

Isn’t that what makes it so good? There are very few matches I watch this season where I think I can easily predict before kick off. That’s exactly what I want and j a league season, especially now Man City have been brought back down to earth. It will make for a way more interesting season.

How old is Cartwright? Is he a 6?

Looking at who’s available for Brighton game. If Alves is fit, I’d be surprised not to see him on the bench.
