I wonder if there is a loan move being prepared for Alves and they don’t want to cup tie him? -

Somewhat surprised with that strong starting line up, and a bit disappointed no young lads have been given a shot on the bench. With us struggling for a winger and at full back, would have been the perfect opportunity to throw them in. Anyway, let’s hope that means a confident performance and a comfortable win! We’re the famous Leicester City and we’re going to Wembley! -

3-2 win today, that is the day we see the Ruud impact on Daka! After falling behind early, Daka 2 goals and Will Alves announces himself with a moment of brilliance, before Patson bags the winner late on. -

He was removed after the game from the UEFA list. Martin o’Neil described the game as “the game we could not win” and UEFA agreed. The fact that he was taken off the list and MON was not charged for his comments. It is the one game that I would say was fixed, there’s lots of examples of crap referring and poor mistakes, but everything about that night was corrupt. Im sure Remy Harrel was charged years later for other offences not related to that game.

No footwear is fine, but if I can play well in my business shoes it’s not a sport.
-
Sports all about what’s on your feet when you compete. If you can compete in your everyday footwear it’s a game not a sport.
-
As said by a few previously, he’s a decent player who is bang out of form, the major problem is there is absolutely no other option. Which is a massive failure on the clubs part.

Or us mathematically safe and then mathematically out of the run for Europe

I think we’ll stay up, I take out the Wolves result, with any other keeper we get at least a point there. We do however, need to go there and win to equalise the results out. We’re only 3 points from safety and there are a lot of points to be played for. there is also at least one time who massively drop off in the second half of the season.
-
I think we’ll bring in an exciting Brazilian winger to replace Fatawu, a relatively unknown Scandinavian full back to replace Justin and a big Centre Back to help us become more defensively stable in January and that should be enough to keep us up.

Completely against the run of play…
-
Ahhhh we’ve done everything but score today…
-
This has got Daka equaliser and Alves winner written all over it. Just got to be brave and make the changes.
-
January is going to be massive. If we can get a couple of full backs - I really think we can stay up.
-
A player written off, on FoxesTalk, before they’ve even been given a chance to show what they can do? Nah, I’m not having that…

We have played some brilliant football at times today. There are definitely signs of life in this team.

The thing with Rodgers is, it comes back to Rudkin. At the start of the relegation season, Rodgers said these players aren’t good enough - we need new players or we are in a relegation fight (or words to that effect). At this point Rudkin, and those above him had two choice - the squads fine, if you can’t get a tune out of them then your sacked - see ya later mate. Option two was to back the manager and bring in new players and get those Rodgers didn’t want any more out the door. We chose to do neither and the end result was as predicted at the start of the season. If Rodgers is to be believed he had players lined up to come in during the summer and had the funds pulled from him. This sentiment was then echoed by Enzo in January, which makes me believe it’s true. Getting rid of Schmeichel and not replacing him was criminal, and the number one reason for our relegation. The not selling of Tielemans and Soyuncu are reinvestment in the playing squad was also a huge issue in us going down and the ongoing financial problems.

Don’t forget Janik and has 3 year deal. No one is taking him off our hands and paying the wages we’re giving him for 3 years.

Liverpool 3-1 LCFC, post match thread

Better than most of the double figure predictions on here. Stolarczyk did well and proved he is more than capable of being number 1 if we have to let Mads leave at the end of the season. It was nice to get ahead and gave me some Christmas cheer, but realistically it. Was two teams that are worlds apart. It great just to get through these games without too much damage. -
Unless Coady had an injury, that’s a really odd last minute substitution.
-
Get Alves on for Ayew and give them something to think about.

3 minutes 45 seconds is an absolute joke for a VAR decision that appeared to be obvious from the first look.
