Ricardo now banned for the next game.

Here comes Fatawu

Not a bad half, first 20 minutes we dominated, then allowed them back in for 5 minutes, then better again towards the end of the half. We look the better team all over the park, just need to be ruthless when the chances come.

Come on Leicester!!!! Let’s get one before the break
-
Come on Kel, got to hit the target there
-
Nah, there’s nowhere near enough contact for him to go down.

That’s never in a million years a penalty. You’ve only got to look at the players reaction when its not given.

Unlucky, decent finish from KDH shame about the offside

Faes is everywhere at the minute!

It looks like the Wonderkid himself Nathan Shelley. -
Play A midfield three of KDH, Winks and Ndidi for 90 minutes and no one in this league beats us. I don’t care who else plays anywhere, that midfield three is the secret to us winning the league. It’s no surprise that the recent run of poor results and performances has coincided with Ndidi being out injured.

Would have played 13/14 season

And another 2-2 great turn around

Pulled one back…

To be honest, I’ve never liked the idea of VAR. The sooner we can accept mistakes from managers, players and officials is just part of the game, the better. If it is here to stay though, we desperately need changes and not the ones they are proposing.

I think Birmingham are the ones to watch out for now, great win against Sheffield Wednesday this week.

Not in the Dewsbury-halls but a fan near me was once hit by a David Beckham practise free kick in the warm up before our game in the late 90s. Pretty sure he gave her his boots after the game. -
He just doesn’t look interested at the moment, but we know he’s got a great scoring record in the PL. I do wonder if a Burnley or Luton type team take a big punt on him to get the goals to keep them up in the second half of the season.
-
Could you imagine a 5 minute delay in play, whilst we slow down and repeatedly freeze frame to decide if it’s a corner or not. All enjoyment and momentum in the game gone. For me, the only way VAR works moving forward is with a challenge system. Two challenges per team, per game - if the challenge is successful you keep your challenge. This would also end diving, imagine diving in the box then convincing your team to burn a challenge, knowing you’ve not been touched. Everything else, if there’s no challenge we stay with the onfield call right or wrong.

Not being played, when you have let the side down repeatedly I don’t think is being treated like shit. He’s been absolutely fantastic this season, and I’m pleased he’s proving many people wrong, but let’s not hide from the fact he was awful when he played last season and didn’t deserve to be playing. Long term wages, yes he may have had to take a pay cut, but let’s not put him on the poverty line here, he would have still picked up ridiculously good wages. If he felt he was being treated like shit, surely his personal situation would have been made better by leaving? At the end of the day, he chose to stay knowing exactly where his position within the squad was.
-
Because you want to play? Every time a player isn’t playing, we tend to jump to they’ve been treated like shit - See Iheanacho, Mendy etc. The reality is only a certain number of players can play, and sometimes a manger doesn’t trust you - for Vesty that was based on his in field performances in the PL. If he wanted to play he could have left, he had many opportunities on the table but chose to stay.

I think I’d make changes for this, but not huge changes. 6 games in the next 3 and a half weeks, the ability to rotate players out will be key for us to keep our levels high. I would be hoping that no one plays all 6 of the games other than Mads. Mads Choudhury Souttar Coady Justin Winks Ndidi Yunus McAteer Vardy Mavididi Hopefully, get Cannon off the bench for a bit of a run around.
