  1. ... or it's someone who knows exactly what they're doing. I guess we'll all find out in time.
  2. It did happen, and could well have been instigated by the teacher (or someone else closely associated) in order to cause the exact outrage we're seeing now. As per above, anyone in the education sector not wanting to cause such an outrage would likely know better than to do this.
  3. Yeah, agree with this, it's too pat. Set up for the sake of outrage by an interested party (in this case, the teacher). See above.
  4. Well, if there's anyone that Trump's ego might listen to for long enough to consider the topic, then it would likely be His Majesty. Might be worth the effort.
  5. Appreciate the update. If we can take a left armer for another option along with four or five of the ones I've mentioned, that would hopefully do the trick.
  6. The Aussie pacers are good but they're not this good. The difference here appears to be in the mind.
  7. Archer, Wood, Robinson, Atkinson, Carse, Stone(?), Tongue(?) That should be enough pace and strength on hard decks.
  8. Oz's bowling attack is so good that it can more than make up for the deficiency in their batting lineup. We'll see if that still holds true in the winter.
  9. Making the (gargantuan) assumption that this is true, a doctor that would do this would also do it with other vaccines in the future. Ones that would be, shall we say, more consequential to not have.
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c74w1gyd7mko The UK is breaking heat and rainfall records increasingly frequently as its climate continues to warm, the Met Office has warned. The country's changing weather patterns mean the UK now experiences a "notably different" climate to what it was just a few decades ago, its State of the UK Climate report says. We now have many more very hot days and many fewer extremely cold nights, according to this latest assessment. It shows just how much global warming caused by the vast emissions of greenhouse gases our civilisation creates is reshaping the country's climate. Climate change is bringing more severe weather events like storms and flooding - and inevitably the country's changing climate is having an impact on the natural world, with some species suffering. The report focuses on 2024, when the UK experienced its second-warmest February, warmest May, warmest spring, fifth-warmest December, and fifth-warmest winter since records began in 1884. The Met Office highlights that some of these records have already been surpassed in 2025 - more evidence of this trend towards more extreme weather. The alarm keeps going off, and the message is clear - the laws of thermodynamics and their consequences will not suffer denial or ignorance of them. They will cause death and suffering, in the UK and elsewhere, and the only thing that matters to them is what we do to mitigate that.
  11. And to add to this, there have been 69 incidences of tied first class matches.
  12. Shades of Edgbaston 2005 and Trent Bridge 2013 in that one.
  13. That was far closer than it really needed to be. Still, any one you walk away from! Jadeja was a warrior, Siraj had that coming.
  14. The current Windies series is showing that they have weakness in their batting. The only reason they're winning it handily is because their seam bowling attack is that good.
  15. It was always going to. Bring on the return of Wood, Atkinson and Robinson, too.
  16. Lethal blow in the shadow of the lunch break.
  17. Breakthrough. Excellent from Archer.
  18. All comes down to Rahul and Pant (and maybe Jadeja). The former will take the game away from you slowly, the latter two quickly. Getting those early doors will be critical.
  19. It had better be within the first 20 balls, because any more than that and he'll already have scored enough to make a big difference.
  20. Hoping Alcaraz can get back into this.
  21. Need at least one of Gill or Rahul tonight, then both of them and Pant before India cross 130 tomorrow.
