If England can't win it, either of SA or Afghanistan would be great. -
You'd have thought the message regarding what happens when that kind of leadership takes power is pretty clear given the history of it, wouldn't you? Hopefully another lesson paid in blood isn't needed.
-
Probably best to seek answers on that one elsewhere, mate.

This is being seen with quite a few "centre-right" parties in a lot of places at the moment, being hijacked or eclipsed by some much, much nastier. I don't think it could be coincidental either.

...might I suggest that at least a little of the criticism of the Scotland team is based on daft nationalistic enmity rather than being actually legit? That being said, IMO overall they got what they deserved for the standard of their play in this tournament, which was (next to) nothing. -

That is not good. -

If this were the case, I'm pretty sure the current sociopathic dictator running the show in the country that Scotland are playing tonight might have more to say on the manner. Or not, who knows? On topic, yeah, shite game so far. -

Neither side have troubled the keeper tbf. Could end up being 1-0 to either side, likely from a mistake. -

Scotland could easily shade this 1-0 tbh. Hungary really not offering much at the moment. -

As someone who often uses hyperbole, this is an excellent example thereof. -
Tbh I think a lot of the healthy discussion has been because there is broad agreement on the election outcome and most topics regarding it. The one in 2019 got a lot spicier because it was a fair bit more contentious.

Don't mind that tbh - often part of tournament sport isn't winning every match, just the crucial ones. SA have that tonight. -

Don't think it would slow him down, here. Destruction mode. -

Buttler doing his bit for the oil and gas industry by wrecking the solar panels then. -

I really didn't think Jordan belonged in this England team. Still don't, but a hat-trick is a hat-trick. -

Wrapping things up with aplomb here. Just for the record, England will have to make this target with more than 10-13 balls remaining (depending on what the target is exactly) to ensure they're through. Really shouldn't mess that up from here. -

Get yourself off the fence and tell us how you really feel, man! -
... this is an oddly specific reference, mate.

I don't disagree, but this is one piece of an overall picture. -
Douglas Murray. Smart enough to make his horrible ideas appear palatable though a veneer of sophisticated verbiage, not smart enough (or simply just sociopathic) to see where those ideas inevitably end.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crggy73m2ero Good to see the Reform candidates getting good mileage out of the "out of context" excuse for misogyny and xenophobia.

I think this is a working hypothesis that needs to be tested tbh. It certainly seems that English fans and media are often whiny, negative and really tough to please, but whether that's actually true across the board in comparison to other places merits a closer look. -

What this also means is that India can't take their foot off the pedal totally because there's still a mathematical chance of them being eliminated. Would take a nasty loss to Aus (40+ runs) and a crushing victory for Afghanistan against Bangladesh (60+ runs), but it is a possibility, so they'll need to keep at least somewhat switched on. -

Not sure if it's funny or potentially nasty that two kids have managed to get on the pitch to take selfie with Ronaldo this match.
