  1. I imagine Faes is on his way out, which I’m not sad about
  2. agree with all of this. He seemed a popular lad (bromance with Winks comes to mind) so squad morale will take a hit here too. My god Cooper has his work cut out. Needs to build a squad, system, culture all in the face of a points deduction, other players maybe wanting out and the fact that at least 10 games this season are probably damage limitation. Good luck with that Steve!
  3. I wouldn’t begrudge him a move to Chelsea like I would if he joined Brighton. We’ll always be lower in the food chain than the former
  4. No way would we want Casadei. Don’t you dare Rudkin
  5. which 'players' would we want included....
  6. Sounds like Chelsea want to hijack the deal
  7. I imagine it’s a sizeable fee PLUS Moder thrown in as we literally need some bodies in midfield. Cannot be a straight swap think I would prefer Chelsea coming in and gazumping the deal tbh
  8. I think now is a good time to hire Potter, he’ll be wanting to prove something after his Chelsea nightmare. If things don’t work out here then he’ll struggle to get another decent gig in this country. Hoping this plays in our favour and he builds something positive if appointed
  9. I have a feeling that if it is Potter who comes in then we might see VK on the pitch next season. He likes he’s FBs to go on the outside and we know that JJ is terrible at that (he relentlessly cuts in)
  10. I guess there’s a difference between ‘giving body and soul’ vs. Enjoying the role enough to stay motivated - that’s an important factor or else you’ll be recruiting again in 6 months.
  11. Re: Cooper, I have a mate with quite close Forest connections. He says that although he's worshipped by the majority of their fanbase this is only because they couldn't believe he kept them up when he had basically no say on transfers and a lunatic owner but that he relied heavily on Brennan Johnson and MGW who were both flair players and made them look better than what they actually were and in most instances the football wasn't great. When he tried to play a more expansive style in his second season he was found out a bit which resulted in the poor form that lead to his sacking. Headline is that his flair players masked a poor style of play and apparently his substitutions were very poor in-game (remind you of someone!?). But obviously Top and Co. see something else in him!
  12. not for me. Luton's swashbuckling style masked the fact they were pretty poor and often tactically inept and couldn't see out games when in front.
  13. is this genuine? unless I'm blind, when you go on his profile this article is not there...
  14. It's going to be Cooper isn't it. Odds are shortening
  15. What about the bloke who has just left Porto? Sergio Conceição or is that just delusional…given he’s been used to winning titles and playing in the Champions League
  16. For anyone championing Michael Carrick, he's just signed a new contract at Middlesbrough, so we can cross him off the list
  17. Hopefully just lazy journalism or his agent trying to get a contract extension. Surely even with all our reported issues we can attract/target a better standard - he’s 26 this year so not like he’s an untapped gem
  18. We massively overlook the Japanese market. The 2 players at Cov and Brum were great for them this season (+ Mitoma at Brighton). Yes there’s a question mark over athleticism to compete across a full season but the risk/reward is good, especially when operating on a limited budget.
  19. Kristiansen is an obvious one around £10m. plus Iversen and another squad player - should get us £15m+ and maybe take the pressure off to sell KDH Trouble is, how many clubs are going to want to buy pre-July smack bang in the middle of the Euros
  20. I think unless it’s a manager who’s out of work then we won’t be paying any compensation until 1st of July as it’ll fall into the next round of accounts. The £10m+ for Enzo will deffo help this time round so why would they want to offset that - then again, it is Rudkin running things so…
  21. we can relax now (sounds like he’s offered his services but not an option)
  22. can't wait for Guillam Balague to come out with "he was never shown any appreciation by the fans" once he leaves...
  23. Enzo, take note from Emery at Villa. Chasing a goal to stay in Europe so he changes his system with over 10 mins + stoppage time to go by playing two upfront (Watkins & Duran) and going more direct…and what do you know…both players causing mayhem in the box and Villa get their equaliser…stop being so fkin stubborn
