Not sure how you’ve taken a Fans Consultative Committee meeting organised by the club, and attended by one member of the Foxes Trust board so that it could be reported back to the fans, as the Trust advocating for ticket collections? Pretty wild leap to make, that. And I can categorically tell you it’s an incorrect one at that.

He started the fire and then purposely started to fan the flames to get it going quicker. Top and co then didn’t put it out. Maresca poured a bit of water on it until it was smouldering (and warning it could reignite any moment). Top and co then failed to keep pouring water on it and it’s really taken hold now to the extent it’s a bigger fire than before. But Brendan Rodgers started the fire. Don’t ever forget that.

Yes, fair. But I’m not sure finding fault in the first channel someone from the board goes on is worthwhile!

What’s to say someone from the Trust couldn’t go on all of them? I guess an invitation might help with that.

Appreciate you were asked your perspective on the letter. Hopefully you can see though that your opinion holds a bit more weight across the fan base due to your background. That’s why I’m asking you to try and at least see and acknowledge some of the steps in the right direction! And also why I think the Trust would be stronger with this kind of energy on the inside. What you describe in terms of the challenges you’ve had are good examples of a Communications approach that needed (and still needs) work. Two (baby) steps in the right direction on that in the past week IMO.

Ryan, I appreciate you didn’t have a great time offering your experience to the Trust. I get it, and I can emphasise to a large extent. But you have to ask when your personal experience is preventing you from doing anything other than throw shade? I’m sure from your involvement, you know that Lynn is one of the board members that is more than happy to call the club a spade when they’re falling short. She’s also the one on the board who was taking time to go along to the Union FS night last year and has been very open and welcoming (almost to the point of pleading at times!) for more people to join and help the Trust. If you’ve watched the whole video then I’m sure you also heard her talk about being one of the three board members who attended the Project Reset protest march. Being one of the Trust Chairs meeting Susan Whelan and attending a march that the club would have hated should tell you enough about the balance she’s trying to strike being in the room but also saying when things aren’t good enough. It’s delicate to say the least. In the past week we’ve had two steps in the right direction (albeit baby steps, I appreciate): - The Trust giving completely transparency in the form of an Open Letter calling on the club to freeze or reduce ticket prices (dependent upon what league we’re in) - One of the Chairs going on a Leicester fan channel to talk about what the Trust is and why it has an important role (also acknowledging its far from perfect) In both instances you’ve thrown cursory acknowledgement of each step and then gone on to hammer the Trust. I appreciate you’ve been supportive of us new board members (that’s appreciated) but I think your frustrations are preventing you seeing any potential for change. I know we have to win people like you over (for what it’s worth I think it’s a shame not having you more involved), but give us a chance mate! It’ll take time.

Exactly this. I’m wondering if many people commenting here have actually read the full letter. If Union FS had released the same letter, pushing for the same kind of protections for fans, would the reaction be the same as we’re seeing here?

I’ll just say here, credit to @CosbehFox who did a lot of work on this and was a big driving force behind the Trust taking this approach.

How are you channeling your feedback to the Club on key issues? Or are you not doing so at all?

This is nothing to do with any meetings with the club. It’s an Open Letter. Literally The Trust being as transparent and open in pushing the Club as it could possibly be!

This and on for the record for most second tier titles. Leicester City’s DNA is to be a yo-yo club. I’ve resigned myself to the inevitability of that a little now.

You know what, I think you might be right about it being the ‘noisy minority’ protesting. But, guess what? It was the noisy minority expressing disappointment and frustration at us missing out on the Champions League from seemingly unassailable positions because they knew they were sliding doors moments, whilst the rest were saying “but we were in League One 13 years ago”. It was the noisy minority expressing concerns over the failure to qualify from an easy-ish Europa League group and the league form in 2022/23 because it hinted at a staleness and decline, whilst the rest were saying “but we reached a European semi-final”. It was the noisy minority saying that Rodgers needing sacking and it doing quickly in 2023/24, whilst the rest were ripping ‘Rodgers Out’ signs out of people’s hands and giving him a free pass because of the FA Cup. Maybe it might be time to listen to that minority? You know, before they’re proved right yet again on this one? Just a thought.

He’s a real problem for us. Ruud seemed to understand this and dropped him when he first came in but for some reason has now gone back on that understanding and I’m not sure why. Faes is very often doing something poor when you look at goals we concede. Even if not an obvious mistake, he’s often out of position or has switched off or has made a half-hearted attempt at something. Vestergaard and Coady lack pace and are by no means world beaters but I’d sooner have either of them in the XI than Faes. I’d happily see him never wear the Leicester shirt ever again. Absolute clown.

Seeing as we clearly breached PSR (and only escaped punishment via a loophole found by a mega expensive lawyer), were unable to spend in January, are being warned about the legitimacy of a front of shirt sponsor we took on, have had fan outrage about things like a £25 charge for season ticket cards (wildly out of proportion with every other club) and have had 5 managers in 3 seasons… can you please define ‘a relatively healthy state’?

Quite a few mistaking this protest as the in the ground bit. In reality, it was the hundreds marching to the stadium who made a noise and got the protest being talked about: job done.

Club’s ticket policy really not helping. ’Bring your whole squad to Arsenal at home’… basically just results in ‘buy a ticket for that bloke you know who supports the away team but is prepared to sit on his hands for 90 minutes’. Away fans getting through the door easier than a local fan if they know someone. Seen a few mentions of away fans in the home end today and someone made an unwise decision to celebrate Arsenal’s first in L1. Fair to say he found out in a very brutal manner that he’d made a mistake.

That’s as close to an endorsement you can get from a manager on something like this. Speaks volumes.

Real argument for it being when the likes of Simpson, Okazaki and Fuchs left the club. Rodgers talked about bringing ‘winners’ in and I thought he’d seen that the mentality had been lost as those lot departed. His response to that was to sign Daka and Soumare who were only winners in the sense of being from successful teams in sub par leagues. What we really needed were the likes of Milner, Dawson & Lallana. Uninspiring but solid professionals. Whilst overseeing many declines, one of the worst Rodgers was culpable for was the decline in grit and know-how amongst the squad. Nice boys playing pretty football landed us right in it.
