Sheff Wed -10th Aug 16:30 - First up?
The Quick Brown Fox replied to Spudulike's topic in Leicester City Forum
Should be anyone but Soumare. If love to see what he does in training to warrant his spot because he does nothing during games. I can only assume the managers come in and see how much we are paying him and think, shit I had better play him, he must be mustard. -
He can join the queue

How excited are you for the new season?
The Quick Brown Fox replied to daddylonglegs's topic in Leicester City Forum
As I've said in other threads. I have had the Leicester sucked out of me, interest is at an all time low. Cancelled season ticket, won't order the new shirt. Saying that, I know when the season starts I will be watching again. -
Absolutely, some real struggles going on. With some proper strong people getting through it one day at a time.

I recently attended my for AA meeting. I never thought I had a problem, but was convinced to go and see what it was about. Listening to everyone talk about their lives and telling their stories made me realise, yes I have a problem. So much resonated with me, made me think about what I do and how I do it. Am I fully blown alcoholic no, do I have an unhealthy relationship with Alcohol? Absolutely, I'm going to try and not drink at all, first off I'm aiming to go through August without a drop. I have tried before, but the temptation is always there, anytime I'm invited out by friends, it's always "fancy a beer". I fear my social life will take a hammering but it's better than the alternative.

I agree completely, my two kids don't have phones and I'm putting it off for as long as possible. Parents shouldn't be given the option to take kids out of any education. I saw a documentary on channel 4 where a Dutch (I think) sex ed teacher came and taught a group of teens in the UK about it. Was interesting to see the difference in what their kids were being taught. But even during that some parents came and took the kids out. My arguement was purely aimed at the age verification change this week for porn. Talking about everything they can and do see, is a totally different issue.

The parents didn't feel that the kids would appreciate them speaking to them. I have always been close to the kids and it started as joke to be fair, Uncle Brown will tell you all you need to know. So I did. I didn't call it the birds and the bees to them 🤣, just saying what we all called it as adults. As I said they knew all about it, but what they knew was all wrong. I agree education should teach them all this. But unfortunately I can't see the education sector picking this up and preventing kids from learning from porn. No 12 year old should think it's acceptable to slap and choke his sexual partner. If, and I know this won't happen, they were to use watered down porn to show what is right and wrong then yes, education could work. But as long as porn is freely available on every smart device going, education will not stop kids copying what they see.

The porn age verification is a step in the right direction in my opinion, but I don't think it will be as effective as they hope. After being asked to have the birds and bees talk with my niece and nephews, aged between 12-15. What they see as "Normal" sex is not what we'd have considered normal a few years back. I for one would like my kids to grow up and learn about sex through having sex and not seeing porn stars doing all the rough stuff. My 12 Nephew said about, choking, hair pulling and slapping. When my daughter gets to that age, I'd hate to think that her first experience became what he described. We have to do something to protect the children from what is out there.

Let them do a few laps behind the safety car or under VSC to clear it then let them race

Happy Gilmore 2 Meh, not a fan of the amount of reminders of the old film. Feel it took a lot away from it, the nostalgia was there which is good but too in your face for my liking.

When my ex and I split, we sat and typed up a "desperation agreement" between ourselves, what I would pay for the kids, what she would pay me for the house, when is see the kids etc. everything was sorted. But then, it was amicable so that made it easier for both of us. Still had to pay the 600 quid and wait months for the divorce to go through though. But if you can, stay away from solicitors if you can.

On the way to the cinema I said to the Mrs that it's going to just be another Jurassic park. Story line all the same, you could almost call it out play by play scene by scene, I don't remember anything being a shock. She wasn't happy when I pointed it out after 🤣

Jamie Vardy - Goodbye to our GOAT
The Quick Brown Fox replied to Craig's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good job we got Daka, we don't need Vardy anymore. -
That's my point

Then what are the blue walled wets?
-
Thing that got me, why did we get a safety car for wet? Not one of the cars were on full wets, I would understand if they were all spinning out while on full wets, kind of makes the wets pointless if they can't wait until the weather gets wet enough for them before the safety car comes out. Unless I was too drunk and missed them going full wets.
