Absolutely, its easy to get annoyed at yourself but once my score is already ruined it becomes about having fun. I managed 14 holes after work today. Golfing solo on a quiet course is one of my new favourite things. So relaxing!

Yeah i was quite impressed myself at least I managed to laugh it off though, unlike the mate I play with who genuinely acts like a tired toddler if things dont go his way!

Usually a busy 9 hole course, shame if it goes as it was one of the first I played. There's still talk of Blaby being sold for housing too which will really limit 9 hole courses around. The vultures that have their eyes on this land will get there own way eventually like they always do.

Yeah it was a howler. One thing I noticed about it though, Abdul had just been flattened and I didnt notice one of our players complain to the ref or even go to check on him. Really shows the camaraderie eh.

I don't really remember the greens but the hilly/sloping fairways turning my rare good tee shots into bad ones

Thought a run along the canal in Glen Parva would be nice tonight. I was wrong! Swarms and swarms of midges, dunno why I forgot that happens in the evening, but I reckon I swallowed at least 10 and got 2 in each eye!

My current obsession with golf has been a great distraction from the shite being served up down the city atm. Can't wait to get out there again tomorrow morning!

Maybe try going in the evening time an hour or two before it gets dark, sure you won't be able to get 18 holes in but should be nice and quiet. Ive done it before and its nice having nobody behind.

Played last week before I became a member, £18 I think I paid for 18 holes. You have to call to book a tee time, the website is a bit outdated.
