I don't feel like the economy is doing particularly well. Borrowing is still high. Immigration is out of control. Public spending is unsustainably low... Does it not occur to you that maybe some of the good news is actually exaggerated because we are approaching an election? I see them as the nasty party as they attempt to shift the blame for societies problems onto those who don't vote Tory or that they represent politically (those of great wealth). A lot of the rhetoric used is nasty.

It was just a genuine comment, most of this topic is pro-Tory propaganda. The "Nasty Party" nickname is a fairly gentle jab at Tory policy but sums up why I won't be voting for them.

I think inequality plays a part in riots like that but on the other hand they are just as much about greed and selfishness. People smashing up people's businesses and stealing consumer goods because they think they can get away with it. Frankly they deserve to be poor.

Trouble with Leicester is it could do with a huge chunk of money spent in one go that would correct some of the fundamental problems with the layout. The A50 is always busy and acts as the main entry point from the north.

I do think Mayweather is genuinely the best P4P boxer during my lifetime but at this point in his career, someone will probably beat him if he decides to keep fighting. He's not as fast or mobile as he was when younger. Boxing is a money game and I don't think Floyd really cares about "legacy" at this point it's just about making money. He's supposed to be the best paid sportsman in the world and if he can eek that out a few more years he probably will.

Labour minority seems a decent bet. Pretty sure the Lib Dems have to ask their members first if they want a coalition and I can't see grass roots members backing it even if Clegg wants to do it. It's clearly not in the interests of the party and they would have no chance of getting anything they want. UKIP or at least Farage, wouldn't be so daft as to go into a coalition as they rely on being the protest party and wield power by indirect means. I do expect Labour to make more gains off the Lib Dems than the Tories and I think they will take a small number of seats off the Tories too. UKIP might take a few Tory seats as well. On the other hand, the SNP will dominate Scotland.

UKIP will be exposed sooner or later.

There's a difference between passing a motion that refuses to condemn something and failing to pass a motion that condemns something.

I've seen that photo but is there somewhere that the whole paper is published? Because without the full context we have no idea if the person who referred to "Asian men" was behaving in an insensitive way.

I don't think they target the girls because they are white, they target them because they are vulnerable and easy to manipulate. I don't think it's a paedophile issue, these men aren't medically paedophiles, just that some of the victims are under the legal age of consent. It's obvious that culture is a big problem. In their culture, it is obviously acceptable to treat young girls in this way. I don't think it has been acceptable in our culture for 100's of years.
