  1. I had a potato waffle sandwich, a chip sandwich and a sausage sandwich for dinner. When I'm cooking for myself I revert back to a 5 year old. It's great!
  2. Oh yeah, I used to frequent a place near Derby called the Ragley Boat Stop, great range of steaks for good money. Starve all day then 3lbs of t-bone, lovely. Not complaining at our choice of meat. England has fantastic steakhouses, pies, chip shops, every kind of foreign cuisine - but when it comes to diners/proper pig out specialists, we're lacking. I mean, look at the sandwich places they have on that show. Then go in to Leicester and see what you can get. Spam and Philadelphia is probably the most adventurous you could go, and I doubt that'd be a good lunch. I heard they have Jalapenos in Subway though, and you can get a 2 inch sandwich and a fun-size Cola for just £7!
  3. Haha yeah. And they're always out of stock of one ingredient in any recipe! "We're out of bacon I'm afraid, would you like an extra tomato instead?" I do however like the exit lollipop. Always lasts the remainder of the journey, no matter how many miles.
  4. Same, I wonder how a weekly shopping trip would turn out if you watched 3 episodes back-to-back without eating? I wish there were some proper diners in the UK. Some of the food they do in the States is just unbelievaballs. What do we have here? 4am kebab and Little Chef.
  5. I love that show, makes me proper hungry though. The presenter apparently works out for 4 hours a day while on his adventures, and won't eat for a day or two after challenges. He is also a vegetarian when not presenting. Completely corny, but quite a likeable chap. And I wouldn't mind his job! I'm watching Hearts V Liverpool - can't believe that post hit, how unfortunate
  6. Great day! Just witnessed a lovely 2-0 win, great weather, not too happy about the little twat in a Corsa that almost ploughed into me on Redhill Circle but otherwise can't complain.
  7. Hahaha! Nicely executed
  8. Some idiot in a Pug 206 wanted to race me on my commute this morning, I filtered alongside him at a red light and just heard him revving the nuts off his car. Pulled away and giggled a little as he naturally was left standing, and after a bit more filtering I could see he was still up someone else's arse trying to catch up. Bikes! Awesome. Also doubling my fuel economy is a huge bonus at current prices.
  9. I love bikes and can't believe I went 4 years without owning one. Cars don't accelerate, FACT. I've halved my commute time - I actually quite enjoy traffic now, it's like a big obstacle course. A little note though - does anyone on here wince when they see a motorcyclist NOT wearing gloves?
  10. Absolute quality day. Day off work, fantastic weather, just bought a motorbike to replace my crappy Renault Megane MISERY EDITION. Had a Little Chef stop off with my dad on the way home, now cracking on with a house search.
  11. You'll get knocked down You won't get up again Knockaert's gonna keep you down [repeat] The ladies in the audience can sing the pissing bit if they want
  12. I'm on! And I'm on the back seat so I can flash a bit of arsehole at the Pessimism Wagon that's trailing behind!
  13. That's annoying. What's worse for me is people saying "It's different than that" - another Americanism that's slowly catching on here and makes bugger all sense You can have "It's different from that" or "It's more different from this than that" (probably, even that sounds wrong) but "It's different than that?" No. Doesn't work. But personally I could care less
  14. I've had my license 7 years now - when I did my CBT it was £80 at Centaur I think. CBT expires in 2 years, if you have to take it again I'm sure by that point you'll already own a 125 and won't pay the rental part of a CBT. However, once you've done your CBT I'm sure you'll be itching to take your test and ditch the "L"oser plates - so the 2 year expiry shouldn't be a problem Personally I'd recommend the following route: • get a dog of a 125cc (commuter type, not sporty) - you're bound to either have a little spill or drop it at some point early on, so damage is minimal as there's no fairing to worry about. • take your test before the CBT expires • Get your first "proper" bike! With 125's, there's 3 types: • basic (commuter type/off-road look-a-likes/"chopper"-likes) • wannabe-sports (CBR-125, R125 etc) • 2-stroke sports (RS-125, Mito, TZR125, NSR 125) Don't bother with CBR-125s/R125s - 4-stroke 125s all make pitiful power, the plastics and badges don't hide that. 2-stroke sports 125s can be a lot of fun to ride, but aren't great around town (absolutely no power at low/mid rev range) and can give you many problems.
  15. Orwell has a point, but he's wrong... I lay eggs on a regular basis (everyone loves the smell of their own). Let's not get onto milk.
  16. My last was a 2001 ZX-6R - loved it and was absolutely gutted when I had to get rid. As soon as I've got a deposit down on a house, I'm getting a Bike Trader, a monocle and some contemplation juice (non-branded Red Bull-a-like carbonated drink)
