Ipswich (A) 1 - 1 - Boxing Day - Post-Match Thread
Lionator replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Main thing we learnt from that is that Daka has to be our no.1 and has to play as many minutes as possible in this system. Obscene luck for the goal but would’ve wanted not to be in that situation. Not the end of the world however -
That Arsenal game, we had less xg than Rotherham at the weekend, and how much did they create?
-
He’s been absolutely fine, what are you expecting?
-
The pace on the shot has not been appreciated. Absolute thunderb*stard.
-
Wasn’t there an Ipswich fan who signed up for here who said that we were signing Chaplin?
-
It shows, break the (exceptional) press and these are a mess.
-
As soon as we break the press we look good.
-
I think because we battered Southampton, we naturally see them as a bit of a soft touch.
-
They’re the third best team in championship history at this stage of the season. Massive disrespect.

I think all the pressure here is now on Ipswich but maybe a little less pressure than before.
-
I think they’re one of the worst teams we’ve played alongside Stoke so it would be a shock.
-
4 points between 7th and 15th and aside from Boro we’ve beaten them all
-
Hilarious. Leeds beat Ipswich 4-0 and proclaim to be the best team in the world. Us and Ipswich would slot away an appalling team like Preston.
-
I’m tempting fate a bit here but have we even had any controversial decisions for or against us this season? I know the Sunderland home game was a poor show by the ref but there was nothing terribly awful.
-
I think we’d beat Nige’s team but we’d probably struggle against the 1924/25 division two champions. Chandler’s movement would be too much for Yannick and I think Hugh Adcock would be better in that 8 role than Wilf.

It’s amazing because Rotherham kept their defensive discipline for 52 of those passes, then KDH’s marker just loses him for split second which allows him to get away and pull the RB out of position, and we duly punish it. It’s a masterclass in staying patient and wearing the opposition down. Rotherham defended this perfectly for 99% of it, and it was just one split second lapse which allowed the goal to be scored. It’s incredible really.

I think Enzo is about two weeks away from jumping into the Union FS section after the game, which would light the touch fire even more.
-
If you ever need to let off some steam then please feel free to message me. I’ve been there, I’ve been suicidal, I know how it feels to see no future, when it feels like there’s no way back. But theres always a way and connections with others is one of the most important things!

I hope everyone has got their pork pie and branston pickle ready for breakfast.

He’s name checked us a lot in his rounds about his new book. His knowledge of football is obscene, I remember him going off on one about Gerry taggart and Matt Elliot not too long ago.

Right, Jan 1st outside the kop, team union FS v team Union FA (eff all). Fight to the death, last people standing get their way.

Enzo Maresca explains how he is rebuilding Leicester City - The Athletic The bit at the end of this makes me hate Rodgers and his ego even more, but anyway. A real interesting read. Enzo is clearly a massive nerd but he also gets the part of making sure the players heads are in the right places, which has been the big key for me.

Fury but it obviously isn’t going to happen. Probably the winner of Usyk Fury is guess although Usyk won’t give Joshua a third bout so he has not much room.
-
How’s Eddie calling Joshua the best heavyweight in the world when he got battered by Usyk twice?
