Basically, in the current setup you have two options. 1) Pay public sector/manual workers a good wage so that people will do those jobs, then you cut immigration. 2) Pay public sector/manual workers a terrible wage, nobody does those jobs, so plug the gaps with immigrants. The tories refuse to do 1, and pretend that they're not doing 2, all while complaining about how high immigration is.

I think it's a good vindication for county cricket. At anytime we probably have 5-10 players with experience who could be called upon (although we're bizarrely conservative) whereas the Aussies and their 6 teams look very short.

Rugby players tend to stay in mainstream education a lot later and the academy system starts a lot later in rugby. You also have thee obvious class divides between the two sports which means rugby players have a bit more money to fall back on. Football clubs are getting better at this sort of stuff but there's still lots of dinosaur's in the game who think that caring about people is 'woke'.
