The over 60 right wing voter is truly one of the most selfish in existence, I know as I’m related to a lot of them that actively and proudly vote for policies that make their children and grandchildren worse off.

Yep, the Labour/LD/Green vote massively outweighs the current reform vote. Which I think is the strategy as to why Burnham would be better than Starmer as he could potentially bring back a lot of the people that have been transfixed by Polanski. If Labour can get 5% of voters back from the Greens then the next election will be a lot prettier.

The plan will be massive tax cuts, especially for businesses. The plan will be to try and get more business in the UK, Singapore style. Like others have said in the past few days, Reform would run the country in the way that Japan and South Korea are economically ran. Away with workers rights, renters rights, disability rights, maternity rights, with the ambition that it’ll bring more business to the country and lead to economic growth. Of course for economic growth in the 21st century you need migration and cheap labour, so they will have a choice to make, economy or immigration. You can’t have both.

I mean Plaid being the main party is the bigger story. While I don’t think we’ll have a Welsh independent movement, we’ve actually got a Welsh nationalist party leading Welsh government!!

Yes because we have lower taxes and an even more skewed population towards older adults. We also have a highly dysfunctional health and social care system whose failure adds massive burden onto the welfare system.

The goal of Reform and to a less extent the Tories and Labour is to transfer your money to big business so that the market’s stay stable and that everything can function as is. There is no democracy because ultimately each party is a slave to the ultra wealthy. For Reform the easy path is to utilise immigration as a political point to keep that process in place. There is no viable future for this country without mass migration. Boris Johnson realised this and invited half of sub Saharan Africa to come and work in British care homes because no British people would do it post Brexit. Farage will face the same dilemma, either massive poverty, decline in living standards or maintain migration rates to keep the economy working. The fact immigration is the main issue at our local elections is also a damning indictment of our ‘democracy’ but there we go.

Yeah I’d agree with Green, he’ll be expensive at CC level as he tends to struggle with length but his height and pace will cause problems and he’s more consistent with his line than Hull. I think Green has a higher ceiling tbh.
