There's a road sign near us that shows a warning picture of "Old persons crossing". I wonder if Tottenham will erect the same sign near their penalty box
One of the issues with Ayew and Decordova-Reid is that they're both on hefty three year contracts and do not need to perform in this game for themselves. It's vital as a minimum that we get a level of hunger in this team to fight and get a result. This is where the board and this manager with his selection have painted themselves into a corner.
I wonder if there’s a Hoddle situation with Ruud. I read when Glenn was manager of Swindon then Chelsea he could pass and volley balls far better than any of the players.
Ruud also as a player being so much better than the squad he’s now coaching, he’s frustrated and the players feeling not fit to scrub his Nike trainers?
Ruud is 6/4 to be next manager to go. Only slightly less likely than Ange.
After Sunday I imagine he will be red hot favourite should Spuds get a boost from this evenings victory.
I’m fed up of feeling livid now when we play. There’s bare minimal effort but absolutely zero fight especially when we go behind.
Look at us, a big city and decent sized club being made fools of by likes of Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham….
The Palace team was the side I wanted that night, but they didn’t deliver did they?
We will definitely be less mobile now without Facundo so still not convinced with who we’ve got. Ruud must be shaking his head at the squad quality.
Man U are having some real difficulties at the moment. But they shouldn’t worry, we’ll come along in the cup and get them to wake up from their slumbers.
