I’d say so, I know some people who are willing to acknowledge things aren’t ideal but think things could be worse. I won’t speak for others, but what I found most difficult when crossing the above to being KP out, was just how incredible that whole period of my life was when we were flying so I really can understand it to some degree, even more so when you factor in the compassionate angle re Vichai. However, I do get really frustrated when I try to have a well reasoned, and in my opinion, well balanced debate with the KP in lot who just want to shut it all down and make it disappear like significant and massively consequential mistakes have been made continually.

Finally sorted my shit out. Monsall half in March, 50k ultra around Loch Ness in May. Would have loved to have done the 2 dayer but it’s probably too big of a step up from what I’ve done before.

We had an attendance of about 15000 the other day, attendances have been sliding for the past 3 seasons as have the club down the divisions. Is it really needed? I’m not seeing diggers on the ground, it seems pretty obvious this is on hold. That said, I suppose the only question left unanswered for me is whether our lack of spending on anything is purely driven by our ridiculous wage bill and the debts to Maquary, or when that is all sorted will we see any investment. I do think I know the answer though.

I honestly think the “how” is very simple. I genuinely think we thought it would never be enforced and by that point, you are 3 years into it and ****ed for the entire time. Top thought everything would keep running as it was- take out loans against Prem money, clear them with KPs profits every couple of years and take us back to zero. Now we can’t do that because of PSR, KPs financial position and his dwindling influence within KP so we are in trouble.

Surely Strava gets your heart rate through your watch? Ive just got a Garmin heart monitor chest strap and that seems to give me more accurate and consistent heart rate data which could be quite useful for proper training.

Strava predicted times are further out than Garmin so it depends on where it’s getting it from. I’d also so it’s probably more likely to be volatile if it’s not got many runs to go from.

Get some tape on your knee so your kneecap tracks correctly but otherwise it is really just rest.

That Scotland one is about £400 if you want to do the two day, get a t shirt and take out the insurance incase you get injured 😂 otherwise you can defer. There is an option for half the price but you have to raise £500 for charity. Seems extremely steep to me.

Nice mate. Think I’ll end up doing it. Cant make my mind up on a longer run and it’s really pissing me off 😂. They are either too expensive to gamble on being fit for (ultra x Scotland), probably too much of a step up ( ultra x Scotland 2 dayer) or look poorly subscribed to which makes me question why i don’t just go out on my own (Malvern Hills ultra).
