Why are you assuming that those who disagreed with the chants, and the potential for that to be perceived as racist, don’t like chants about King Power out? You can be very much against the absolute shambles our club has become in the last 5 years, completely disagree with the clubs laughable statement about acting with integrating while condemning chants which could be perceived to have racist undertones.

Fair point on self policing. I think a lot of very respectable and balanced posters have probably shied away from saying too much in this thread for fear of a pile on one way or the other and some are likely to continue to do that.

Glad this thread has popped up. Does anyone know of any Leicestershire based artists that have created any interesting pieces based on the city? I went round a friends house the other week and he is from Glasgow and had a few amazing pieces local to them and I’d love to see what we have. I’ve searched online but struggled to find much more than Etsy style prints which isn’t really what I was going for.

Just searched for it and i struggle to think of anything worse. I need some visual stimulation to make sure I’m not doing repetitive things like counting my steps and genuinely think I’d struggle to get a half done doing laps of something like that.

My mate was talking about it so I downloaded it before my marathon, decided against it and wrote my own plan rather than paying the money to be honest. Looks decent but I think you’ll have enough knowledge about what you need to do than pay it is my personal opinion. That said, I got injured with 2 weeks to go and probably ended up relying on pure will power and raw fitness to power through and maybe I wouldn’t have had I had them do my plan. Happy to share any hits and tips to you or anyone else if they need it/are stupid enough to listen to an idiot like me.

I think they are asking for a statement about the statement addressing the lack of previous statements, but I might be wrong.

You say that, but you could argue that comments like that now creeping into the mainstream have led to some quarters of the population to say things like this more openly. Maybe it was sang in exactly the way that you are probably the majority on here are saying, but with all of the above considered, I don’t think it’s in great taste.

I’m not seeing much of a mention of the “sell the club and **** off home” chants which allegedly were sang yesterday. I suspect the clubs statement is also aimed at this one. I agree it’s time for them to sell up but the second part, in the context of the current political climate, could be perceived as racist and they are right to call it out. I obviously get the irony in not hearing anything from the club on the relegation etc and release this though.
