  1. I was at the game. The away end was utterly incredible! Never seen anything like it.
  2. Am I the only one thinking we should keep him? Chopping and changing again is not going to help us.
  3. I was told that you can ‘legally’ order one pint at Scraptoft Valley WMC at 15. It went like this, Barman: Can I help you? Me: I’ll have a pint of Bass please (pronouncing it as in bass guitar)! Barman: I can’t serve you that 🦆, but you can have a pint of Bass!
  4. I felt the urge to not let go today, but stuck by my decision not to renew. I miss so many games anyway living outside the city, so thinking of the money saved on the ST, petrol, trains, occasional hotel stay overs, booze and meals out helps!
  5. How many of you who answered ‘no’ in the poll are sticking with your decision, like me?
  6. I am having an emotional wobble in not renewing because I really enjoyed The Championship last time. I also have the best seat imaginable. Row behind me pay £2300 more than I do for padded corporate seats. Will never get a ST in a better location again. All that said, I’ve made my mind up and not renewing.
  7. There were plenty of people here who could see the value of Maresca’s system. I was one of them. Re: the style and how we would have done if he’d have stayed one just has to look to the Bournemouth FA Cup game last season, which we won. It would have been tough, we might have still got relegated, but we’d have been more competitive.
  8. I think Enzo would have kept Nelson and Alves around too, which would not have weakened the first team and links academy to squad, which is important for development of players and financial assets. .
  9. Indeed. And let’s not underestimate how bedded in Maresca’s style was. To go from that to Cooper ball and RvN since has been catastrophic. This is why Rudkin should lose his job. No joined up long term succession strategy.
  10. I think so too. I think this is the strongest Premier League there has ever been. Even the average clubs have become miles ahead of even the best promoted teams. This season and last proves it. All three that came up are going down.
  11. This season has been an abomination. How different would it have been if Chelsea didn’t knee cap us on arrival into The Premier League by poaching Maresca. I think it really ****ed us up. The fantasy is that he might have kept us up if he’d stayed. But you have to look at Ipswich who kept their highly rated manager and barely doing better than us at the moment.
  12. Totally agree re: transfer business. He did set us up in a way to try and stay in games, which we largely did. Under RvN we are getting battered.
  13. RvN is this awful new breed of manager. He has a philosophy. If we get battered it’s because we don’t have the right quality players to make the philosophy work. Give me an old fashioned manager who starts off making his teams hard to beat. Sorry Cooper. Captain Hindsight tells us you were right.
  14. I am up for giving RvN a chance to rebuild, set his standards. He’s barely had any support. Not even his own backroom staff for much of his tenure. We need a clear out and a change of culture. Sounds like he’s up for it. That’s admirable. If he adds in a bit of pragmatism on match days rather then being wed to a dicking ‘philosophy’ which seems to be trendy now, no matter the results, he might come good.
  15. I hate it too. Literally a small minority of men in a boardroom proposed this. If there was a poll of all supporters affected up and down the land I wonder how many thousands would be against it.
