That’s true, but don’t miss out the crucial part of the comparison / argument - “look how that turned out”.
Very, very different circumstances. The Ranieri comparison is a moot point.
The Ranieri comparison doesn’t work here. He inherited a club on the up, the foundations were set and the chemistry among the players at that time were unlike we’ve seen before or since.
Wouldn’t put it past our shambles of a board to have this down as Potter being in a different time zone and we’ve appointed Cooper before Potter accepts. Or something daft like that.
