  1. This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but Danny Ward isn’t going to be incredibly wealthy. He’s probably averaged 20k a week for 10 years. After tax it’s about £5m. He’s obviously spent some of that to live and enjoy the standard of life that that kind of money affords. When he retires, if he’s got £3-5m in the bank it’d be quite easy to chip away at that over the next 30 years. It’s certainly an amount of money you’d have to have a plan for. Anyway, I don’t blame him for seeing out his contract and not wanting to play football. More fool those above him that put the contract in front of him.
  2. 12:20 - someone asking the right questions… The Pentagon has said the sightings include hobbyist drones, commercial drones and fixed wing aircraft, among a few others. But that’s not definitive. They’re very careful in what they say, knowing the majority will consume the info as definitive. As an example, the Leicester City squad includes Vardy, Vestergaard and Winks.
  3. Airspace over Wright-Patterson AFB was reportedly shut down for an hour or so earlier in the week due to an incursion. I’m surprised a hobbyist drone can get anywhere near it, let alone over it to temporarily shut down its airspace.
  4. Some pistachio goodies picked up from a patisserie in Pozzallo last year.
  5. If it’s on TCAS then I think that means it would’ve had a transponder as TCAS isn’t radar per se. I could be wrong but I think the TCAS system requires both aircraft to have their transponders active.
  6. Jota Silva is the love child of Nicholas Cage and Jack Grealish.
  7. Inject that into my veins
  8. Was scrambling trying to refresh foxestalk to post something about the r r r reflexes on show for the header.
  9. That’s got to be the one of the greatest saves of all time. I can’t think of one better.
  10. The “drones” have been over the east coast of the US for the past week or so.
  11. El Khannouss having a right old natter with Clive there. Probably telling him Raw Dykes is closed.
  12. Incredible from Vardy
  13. A shame for him but has probably meant we’ve kept hold of him rather than cashing in.
  14. I’m surprised they’re not trying to take them down. Also, I wonder if we’ll have any images released of them.
  15. The fans giving Palmer stick. That’ll end well
  16. So half of the Chelsea team to receive yellows in a moment?
  17. Expected to start in 20 mins

  20. I thought the lyrics were - Brother Pele's in the back, sweet Zina's in the front Cruising down the freeway in the hot, hot sun Suddenly, red-blue lights flash us from behind Loud voice booming, "Please step out onto the line" Pele preach words of comfort, Zina just hides her eyes Policeman taps his shades, "Is that a Chevy '69?"
  21. I suppose they were able to fire missiles at balloons last year as they posed a threat to commercial airliners. I’m sure if they wanted to shoot them down they’d have found a reason
  22. It feels as though something is potentially going to happen which could mean they lose their grip on it all. In the last week at a White House press conference, the rep speaking confirmed there had been an incursion above Langley AFB of “drones” which were not considered a threat. On that basis, they can’t be from Russia or China. They’re seemingly allowing drones to fly above somewhere that I’d assume is highly guarded, which seems odd because I’d bet a drone hobbyist wouldn’t be afforded the luxury of a) getting their drone back in more than a thousand pieces and b) avoiding incarceration.
  23. Surprised to see Stephen Bartlett entertaining a topic that is often met with ridicule. Even more surprised to see reasonable discussion around this episode on his LinkedIn post.
  24. I’m going to have to wait to see the replay again, but “shove”? I’m not sure.
  25. Yeah it’s mad. I’m sitting here wondering how there isn’t someone in their ear telling them this. But I think you’re right with drumming up controversy.
