  1. I think I read that we agreed on a deal where we get him for free now with €2.5M to be paid if we get promoted. So perhaps with the money not going out now that allowed us to get this one over the line without any outgoings?
  2. It's all because his contract is up at the end of June so they can't loan him with an obligation and we won't pay the money in full now. The only current option is a loan with an obligation on promotion, but Inter are worried in case we don't get promoted and they don't get their 2M euros. I suppose we could have done a loan with obligation after X (achievable) number of games, but then we prob didn't want to pay the money until the end of the season and again Inter would be worried he may not achieve the required number of games due to his injury record. So now Inter would need to extend his contract by a year and do a loan with obligation. This all seems really complicated, but it seems these complications are at Inter's side and not ours.
  3. So are we selling Praet or Souttar today? Would think Praet would be off as he has at least been strongly linked to going out. But who knows. Could be no one gets sold and this thread (almost) makes it to 100 pages for nothing! FcIN - Leicester, tomorrow is Sensi-Day. Background: the player was expected in the UK last Friday, then... (fcinternews.it)
  4. I know Schira isn't the most reliable, but he is suggesting this will happen "within 36 hours", which (if my maths is correct) translates to some point tomorrow. Why do we seem to take so long?!
  5. Another bloody "key meeting" to be held today to close off this deal - I get the impression we're just happy for the free buffet lunch at these meetings Sensi at Leicester, today a key meeting to close the deal (fcinternews.it)
  6. FcIN - Sensi-Leicester, the final call is scheduled for the afternoon. What's Missing for White Smoke (fcinternews.it)
  7. As mentioned earlier in the thread, it looks like due to midfield player availability Inter have postponed the transfer until next week. "GdS - #Barella and #Calhanoglu disqualified, few choices in between: operation postponed #Sensi - #Leicester"
  8. People wishing for VAR in this thread would be very upset, that red card would still be given regardless. There is a still frame which shows Fatawu lunging into the challenge with both feet off the ground and that would be plenty enough to argue serious foul play. At the time I thought it was a "hard yellow", but I can see why the referee has given it and I doubt we'll appeal. One thing we can all agree on is that it was a stupid attempt at a tackle that he really didn't need to make. Regarding the penalty, at the time I didn't even think it was a pen, but looking at it back I think the ref gets it right according to the current laws of the game. The player did play the ball so I guess the "double jeopardy" rule applies here. Like it or not, we were poor before we went down to 10 men and got a whole lot worse after (not helped by some questionable tactical decisions), so we probably deserved to lose this one in any case. This does mean that we've now lost Abdul until near the end of AFCON (go figure), and we won't have Maresca on the touchline for the Ipswich game as he got himself a silly yellow card. Regardless, we're still winning this league at a canter.
  9. This is ridiculous if true!
  10. Completely agree, which is why I said it is very unlikely 4 teams will achieve over 100 points, these analyses are only ever useful for short term predictions. Just trying to illustrate the fact that us finishing top of the league with a record points tally isn't a foregone conclusion.
  11. Great post, pushed me to create a powershell function to get similar data and format it into a table. All teams on track for 90+ points, yes, but this is before you take current form into account, at which point it obviously gets a little more hairy. If we just take the last 6 game form as a guide the table completely changes! This would put Leicester in fourth place on only 91 points by the end of the season with a form points per game at a lowly 1.7 (with us only 6th place in the form table, just behind Watford), now hopefully we can put this down as a blip and further compounded by the difficulty of the opponents faced, plus you would assume that it is highly unlikely Leeds and Southampton complete the season with this kind of consistency. However if we expand that out to 10 game form (and possibly a better indicator on current form), we get: It does look a little better but with the other teams also performing well puts us just outside the Automatics and into the horrible playoffs. The chances of 4 teams ending on 100+ points is unlikely, however this is a crazy a$$ season. Incidentally, using 10 game form would put West Brom in 5th place with a points total of 83.
  12. Coady could be in the squad but Cannon injured with no time frame for a return!!
