  1. Semeraro just posted this and then deleted it after Di Marzio posted. I don't think anyone has a clue!
  2. Looks like he really wants Roma, will all depend on whether Roma's bid is good enough for Juve to sell to a rival.
  3. The Mercians are also doing a gig at Cattows Farm next month https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Leicester/Cattows-Farm/The-Mercians-plus-Support/39233493/
  4. Looks to me like the player is happy to go to either club but we are the only ones to stump up the cash to get the deal done. I doubt Roma would match our offer so all things being equal he should be coming to us. But this is Leicester, so....
  5. This thread is box office! FWIW, my attempt at a balanced post, yes, on FoxesTalk. I would have preferred Corberan, wouldn't have been too bothered if it was Potter, at least there would be a clear philosophy there and we would be trying to continue playing the same style of football. We have instead seemingly opted for Steve Cooper, who, of his own admission wants to play attractive attacking football. He did play that way in the Championship, which is what got Forest promoted, scoring an impressive 73 goals in the process (and only conceding 40), but when he tried that same style in the Premier League he came unstuck and realised against his better wishes he had to play a more pragmatic low block style. I assume he alluded to this point heavily in his interview, waxing lyrical about the players we (currently) have at our disposal allowing this more attacking brand of 'Cooperball'. The issue we have is whether the players will buy into his ideas. Best case scenario, all the players pull in the same direction and we see the quick, attacking football we (and he) yearn for, worse case scenario, we start the season without the majority of our attacking players and end up seeing a low block most weeks. The fact we have hired someone who in his best season has a 1.0ppg average in the Premier League (therefore not enough to keep us up) means he must have spoken a good game., and assuming the latest Guardian article is correct in that Potter rejected us late on in negotiations and we would be going for Potter, and Corberan only if by a miracle even Cooper turned us down, then my only question would be why we chose Cooper over Corberan as our next best option? Still, we've seen this so many times, managers come and go and we, as fans, can never predict how their tenures will pan out. When Ranieri was first touted as a 1000-1 shot of managing Leicester in the 2015/16 season the majority of us (myself included) were asking for anyone else. Let's hope this ends in a similar vein and 17th place isn't yet out of our grasp.
  6. This has just been voted in, and Man City, Man Utd and Villa voted against it! Chelsea abstained
  7. Do we think Vestergaard plays in his one? Only issue is if he gets a yellow against these then he's out for the Leeds game. Think it resets after tonight's game so if he gets a yellow against Middlesbrough it doesn't matter for the Leeds game.
  8. The biggest mystery here is that we had a verbal agreement with Inter before he got on the plane, so who changed the terms?
  9. This is where I read it: Sky: Sensi skips Inter training ahead of Leicester City transfer - Football Italia (football-italia.net)
  10. I think I read that we agreed on a deal where we get him for free now with €2.5M to be paid if we get promoted. So perhaps with the money not going out now that allowed us to get this one over the line without any outgoings?
  11. It's all because his contract is up at the end of June so they can't loan him with an obligation and we won't pay the money in full now. The only current option is a loan with an obligation on promotion, but Inter are worried in case we don't get promoted and they don't get their 2M euros. I suppose we could have done a loan with obligation after X (achievable) number of games, but then we prob didn't want to pay the money until the end of the season and again Inter would be worried he may not achieve the required number of games due to his injury record. So now Inter would need to extend his contract by a year and do a loan with obligation. This all seems really complicated, but it seems these complications are at Inter's side and not ours.
  12. So are we selling Praet or Souttar today? Would think Praet would be off as he has at least been strongly linked to going out. But who knows. Could be no one gets sold and this thread (almost) makes it to 100 pages for nothing! FcIN - Leicester, tomorrow is Sensi-Day. Background: the player was expected in the UK last Friday, then... (fcinternews.it)
  13. I know Schira isn't the most reliable, but he is suggesting this will happen "within 36 hours", which (if my maths is correct) translates to some point tomorrow. Why do we seem to take so long?!
  14. Another bloody "key meeting" to be held today to close off this deal - I get the impression we're just happy for the free buffet lunch at these meetings Sensi at Leicester, today a key meeting to close the deal (fcinternews.it)
  15. FcIN - Sensi-Leicester, the final call is scheduled for the afternoon. What's Missing for White Smoke (fcinternews.it)
  16. As mentioned earlier in the thread, it looks like due to midfield player availability Inter have postponed the transfer until next week. "GdS - #Barella and #Calhanoglu disqualified, few choices in between: operation postponed #Sensi - #Leicester"
  17. People wishing for VAR in this thread would be very upset, that red card would still be given regardless. There is a still frame which shows Fatawu lunging into the challenge with both feet off the ground and that would be plenty enough to argue serious foul play. At the time I thought it was a "hard yellow", but I can see why the referee has given it and I doubt we'll appeal. One thing we can all agree on is that it was a stupid attempt at a tackle that he really didn't need to make. Regarding the penalty, at the time I didn't even think it was a pen, but looking at it back I think the ref gets it right according to the current laws of the game. The player did play the ball so I guess the "double jeopardy" rule applies here. Like it or not, we were poor before we went down to 10 men and got a whole lot worse after (not helped by some questionable tactical decisions), so we probably deserved to lose this one in any case. This does mean that we've now lost Abdul until near the end of AFCON (go figure), and we won't have Maresca on the touchline for the Ipswich game as he got himself a silly yellow card. Regardless, we're still winning this league at a canter.
  18. This is ridiculous if true!
  19. Completely agree, which is why I said it is very unlikely 4 teams will achieve over 100 points, these analyses are only ever useful for short term predictions. Just trying to illustrate the fact that us finishing top of the league with a record points tally isn't a foregone conclusion.
  20. Great post, pushed me to create a powershell function to get similar data and format it into a table. All teams on track for 90+ points, yes, but this is before you take current form into account, at which point it obviously gets a little more hairy. If we just take the last 6 game form as a guide the table completely changes! This would put Leicester in fourth place on only 91 points by the end of the season with a form points per game at a lowly 1.7 (with us only 6th place in the form table, just behind Watford), now hopefully we can put this down as a blip and further compounded by the difficulty of the opponents faced, plus you would assume that it is highly unlikely Leeds and Southampton complete the season with this kind of consistency. However if we expand that out to 10 game form (and possibly a better indicator on current form), we get: It does look a little better but with the other teams also performing well puts us just outside the Automatics and into the horrible playoffs. The chances of 4 teams ending on 100+ points is unlikely, however this is a crazy a$$ season. Incidentally, using 10 game form would put West Brom in 5th place with a points total of 83.
  21. Coady could be in the squad but Cannon injured with no time frame for a return!!
  22. A light in the dark Right wingers don't grow on trees Abdul is the one Yes, Issahaku.
