Even if he cut out his mistakes, he still wouldn’t be one of our best defenders. For a centre-back, he is awful in the air and he can’t read the game. Can’t wait to see the back of him!

Yeah, nice clip from the Championship. We’re in the Premier League now, and he can’t hack it, which is exactly why Spurs got rid of him. Came off with a ‘groin strain’ against Chelsea so he could get ready for his night out in Copenhagen 😂. Wouldn’t even make my top 10 CMs we’ve had over the years, put it that way. One of the most overrated players we've had, in my view. Zero athleticism, a sideways passer, and not up for the fight. Someone the other day said he'd get into our 2015/16 team over Drinkwater—never read anything so stupid in my life. Leicester's Drinkwater was twice the player.

The most unlikeable squad we've had since the 2007/08 season. I feel bad for Vardy; he doesn't deserve to be surrounded by players like this after some of the great squads he's been in.

Looks like he’s playing for the manager—something he has NEVER done for us before. It’s hard to get your hopes up with Soumare, but he was the best player against Utd and changed the game when he came on against Ipswich.

Far from being the worst player tonight, he actually looked like he was putting in the effort for once.

Justin can’t play as a right back; he’s awful in that position. He’s been our worst player this season—and that’s saying something, considering he’s in the same side as Wout Faes. The only positive in this game, aside from El Khanouss’s goal, is that we might finally get to see Will Alves this season.

He was also class for a fairly large period of time

Mate, he's been awful since after 2022 WorldCup. Yeah, he's had a few good games—fair play to him—but overall, he's been poor. Even in the Championship last season, the number of times this thread blew up because Faes was dreadful was a joke. We need to offload him if possible.

Faes is the better footballer; Souttar is the better defender. They're playing CB, not CM—I'd choose the latter any day of the week.

I have no idea why managers always seem to rate Faes over Souttar. One has the qualities you want in a CB; the other is Wout Faes.
