  1. Thanks mate i genuinely not on here to wind people up btw, guess everyone has different opinions on the game
  2. Agreed on all of the above. He is our biggest sellable asset after Fatawu, but dont get bullied for a price. Think the club want 35M, which i believe is 14M profit, get him gone Good player though
  3. Thats actually quite funny for you, i give you that one :-0
  4. I be coming down to that one hopefully. We doing ok this season. Great crowd that. 2K.
  5. Nice, what's the average attendance there these days, 300?
  6. Spent a few seasons watching Shepshed when my mate was skipper bout 20 year ago
  7. How did you get on Monday, we got beat 1-0 at home to Barwell. Played an understrength team and got caught out. We got you soon as well i think.
  8. I think Rushall get a decent crowd, played at Atherstone a few times back in the day.
  9. Totally agree with you ref them two. Sammy was very highly regarded. His spell at Dundee wasnt a great success and its a suprise and shame not to see him in any action at all really. Although small he is a very tidy CDM or at least he was before his injury. Did he not captain England at some age group level aswell?
  10. With us playing at home on Friday night, wondered if anyone was going to a local FA Cup 1st qualifying round on Saturday. I shall be heading down to Quorn FC v Sherwood Colliery. Hopefully be a decent turnout.
  11. how would you even know that figure?
  12. were surely not that stupid...... but then again Personally think Spurs will sign him. Great podcast again, sir
  13. to quote page in the same breath as dowman and ngumoha is as you quote talking absolute shite with regards to alves, he unfortunately is not up to it else he be given more game time. A lot of the happy clappers seem to be pinning all our future hopes on these youngsters which is a) unfair and b) way too optimistic 2 years ago we were talking about the leicester iniesta, (sammy braybrooke) and he far from first XI currently. All because there home grown doesnt make them saviours
  14. Marti probably doing it to prove a point to the board how desperate we are. Playing Page in that 10 role could destroy his confidence. If you actually watched the Charlton game, he was visibly not strong enough, too slow in his decision making and got bullied. Which to be fair is not his fault. Throwing him against them who were kicking everything that moved was naive by Marti. But who am i to say
  15. shouldnt be anywhere near the first team IMO If you think he should be then you obviously not played the game to a decent standard
  16. and? no sentiment in football. He could be a good player for us in the future. Its not really fair chucking him in at 17 with no previous EFL experience. He should be sent out on loan to gain valuable experience as per our previous business model in the lower leagues. Chillwell, KDH, Barnes etc........
  17. All for blooding the youngsters but IMO these kids need to learn their trade out on loan. Not sure what game you were watching on Saturday but Page was totally out of his depth. He shouldn't be anywhere near first XI currently.
  18. Transfer embargo which the thread is now closed as not true apparently
  19. So many people on here with there heads in the sand. He isnt coming. We certainly wont be offering 29 year olds 3 year contracts on 50K a week. It looks like the club have learnt there lesson on that one, thankfully. Dont expect any incomings just 3 or 4 more out the door. Also been told there is something in the Nixon story but the mercury reported its not true, so they must be right! Been shot down enough for suggesting otherwise Mercury is Click bait at its best.
  20. Then were fooked if we have been given one then
  21. posted this on other thread......... Lets assume the worse and we have been given a transfer embargo. Are we still able to sign free agents and bring in players on loan. Or is every decision in the hands of the EFL and treated on a case by case basis?
