My take on this. I watched with an open mind. I didnt want Russell but have been encouraged by what i hav eheard by people inside the club in recent weeks. Last season i pretty much despised every player wearing our shirt. Today was a breath of fresh air. Firstly, the tempo. Whilst possession based, it was very much on the front foot at a quick tempo. Recovering possession also seemed to be a priority. The fitness will be ramped up over the next few weeks as this will be a key factor next season in our game play. My take on it with positives and negatives. Positives Aluko, Braybrooke , Alves all played superb in my opinion and need to be main stays next season. Riley was extremely positive going forward, defo one for the future. Players seem to be buying in to RM philosophy. No Winks, Victor or Vesty Negatives, Mavididi, skipp an dokoli really not at the races, hoping they know there future lies elsewhere. Expecting Page to shine but was quite low key. Defence looks shaky, massive investment needed Observations Think Vietes be number 1 as is clearly better with his feet than Stol Andy King seems like a bystander, expect him to go back to U21 or leave Hamza defo gonna be skip in CM Overall very pleased and think Russell actually gonna be ok

agreed, but shifting players is the key right now. that will free up some income. personally think we will get few journeyman freebies in and 2/3 on loan made up by the rest of whats left, of the ones he wants to keep that is. priority is shifting shit so to speak

I really didnt want him here and was very disappointed in his appointment. However, i am told that he is very popular with the youngsters and all the non playing staff at the club. I was also told that he put on an extra training session last week at the time of the england game due to standards not being met. These show ponies have had it too good for too long. I actually think he be ok. As long as he can get rid of the bad apples.
