  1. Who do you think is realistic and would keep us up? Not being facious, genuine question?
  2. Duplicate post.
  3. I don't know for sure you are right but Was he not out of work in the summer? Pretty sure they would have spoken to him if he had any interest in the job and it won't exactly look more appealing after a 6 game basket case sacking. I genuinely hope we can get an established successful manager like moyes but like I said in my post feel like we are shopping in different waters now.
  4. With Rodgers and Enzo the fan base was divided between people who liked them (excluding the last season with Rodgers) and people who hated them. This time the fan base is divided between people who want to sack him now and people who want to wait a few games. It shouldn't be a radical or controversial decision to not want commit the 2nd quickest sacking in history.
  5. Starting to find these kind of posts quite annoying. Having a more balanced view on the situation doesn't meant that you out and out support him. I was gutted when he got the job. I am not pro cooper I am pro giving him another 5 games or so because... - sacking him now would be the 2nd fastest managerial sacking in premier league history in terms of league games. This is probably an indicator it's a bit soon also its is going to hurt us in terms of getting in a decent replacement. We struggled to get anyone in good in the summer so imagine how much harder it will be to get good candidates after sacking someone after just 6 league games we would look like a complete basket case club (even more so) - we just spent the summer bringing in his kind of players to play his kind of football (whatever that is) surely it's worth waiting a little longer to see if it clicks before we start dialing Dean Smiths number (yes those are the waters we are swimming him here) - we don't need to not be shit we just need need to be not quite as shit as 3 other teams currently we are achieving this. People who are expecting free flowing football and mid table comfort are very naive to the gap between the champ and prem and the state of the current squad and of the managers available to us. - he has kept a newly promoted team up in very recent memory. 2023 to be precise. - the club are absolutely in no way shape or form going to sack him anytime soon. To do so would be an admission they got it very wrong and they aren't about to do without exhausting the possibility of him turning it around. Also you lot are very good at moaning on internet boards, complaining about Rudkin and berrating people who disagree with you but less good at getting organised and putting any kind of pressure on the club to act so in a nutshell he is going nowhere probably at least till late Nov. So if he's going nowhere and you aren't gonna get organised and do anything about it just calm down a bit try and keep the old blood pressure in check and see what happens in the next month. If someone like moyes wanted the job right now I would say sack him post haste but believe me he doesn't so we are where we are.
  6. That is putting it mildly if you look at who puel and marcia signed and how much we sold those signings for it was absolutely a peak period of transfer business in the clubs history I would be on my knees thanking the gods if a puel and marcia Combo took over next.
  7. A lot of confirmation bias going on here if your part of the "cooper out, Rudkin out everything is shit brigade" then that was a poor performance where we created little and threw away points with bad game management. If your in the "6 games is too early to sack a manager, give him a fair crack, there has been some encouraging signs brigade" then that was a spirited performance away at one of the best sides in Europe, where the lads fought there nads off and nearly got something. I think what ever camp your in you would have to admit that was better than you was expecting?
  8. He had 5 games if we lost 5 - 0 the club will give him as long as possible as sacking him is an admission they got it wrong.
  9. he gave the goalkeeping coaches credit not the manager, maybe listen to the interview before you start moaning about it!
  10. annoying that people have to be piss-takey or snarky when it comes to Ward. Forget the statue jokes, forget some of his shortcomings in the past lets just call tonight what it was a fuching excellent performance from a city player that deserves respect. also not that it will matter to some of you but he seemed like a top bloke in his interview giving credit to the coaches straight away.
  11. Found the poll a Bit limited on options would have liked a "give him a bit more time option". Even by modern football standards 5 games is way to early to sack someone. and the club just point blank won't do it so your getting yourselves all worked up for nothing. Let's look again after 12 games. Martin O'Neil's didn't win any of his first 7 games and was getting dogs abuse at Sheffield United away and the rest as they say is history. We are also very limited in terms of who would replace him. Not many goof candidates last time and if you think you make yourself more attractive to managers by sacking someone after 5 games then you are very much mistaken.
  12. He's not going anywhere. If they sack him it will be an admission that they got it wrong, they have also spend quite a lot of money getting players to suit his style (what ever that is) expect him to stay for at least the next 7/8 league games unless results go off a cliff.
  13. Cooper probably thinks James Justin is quicker and better defensively, he is also 26 where's Ricardo is 31 next month so there is a big money move left in JJ if he stays injury free and gets near his pre covid form where as that ship has sadly sailed for Ricardo. You can disagree that he should be in the team, but if you claim you don't understand the logic behind it you are either dense or your just using it as another stick to beat the manager with. The funny thing is if Ricardo had started the season in the team and not performed to a high level there would probably be "Justin Mystery" Threads.
  14. I'm a big fan of these. The title was slightly clickbaity and sensationalist but the content was very fair and balanced. Would love these as a podcast.
  15. It's murder in here after any loss not sure you can read to much into that
  16. I have Got a single ticket spare. Drop me a message if you can collect from LE2.
  17. I don't think so champions league with Claudio and Europa league twice with Brendan one time we ended up in the conference league I'm the same season so it probably felt like 5 times.
  18. I can't obviously say for sure what you personally would or wouldn't do but if you are honestly saying this thread wouldn't have gone hot the minute we failed our appeal then your deluded.
  19. Yes this is part of what I've been getting at. Being Rudkin out is an outlet for people who don't feel comfortable attacking the ownership after everything that's happened (huge success, vichai death etc) but still want to whinge a moan about the direction of travel when its pretty obvious that whatever Rudkin does or doesn't do day to day he is tops right hand man. I also think more people on the board would stick up for top so it's perhaps a slightly cowardly way to have a good vent without being pulled up. you will have to scroll a long way down to find a thread on top.
  20. No.... The fact that you think someone asking for a bit of balance is somehow a "pro Rudkin coup" shows how polarised and entrenched peoples views on this have become. I have said repeatedly that I'm not pro Rudkin but I'm pro having a balanced view on things and if your would have been prepared to blame him if the appeal wasn't successful which let's face you all would have. then surely you need to allow for a bit of praise if it goes right. I personally couldn't give a fuch who gets praised for this as I appreciate it's a team effort. it's more a general appeal for a bit of balance things have gotten a bit poisonous.
  21. I don't think so, I think most reasonable fans of other clubs know that fsp is ridiculous and un competitive and are pleased someone has shown it up for how ridiculous it is.
  22. How do you know who was who's signing? Because congerton and Rogers just like macia and puel had worked together for years at other clubs. I imagine signing a player to be a very collaborative process with them pouring over data and potential cost not just everyone in a room fighting for their own picks. And yes of course he deserves critism for the monumental drop off lots of people do but the criticism of Rudkin started long before the drop off in fact I can remember it starting after the Adrien Silva 13 seconds (or whatever it was) debacle which I think was reported afterwards to be sporting Lisbon's fault. So the fact he doesn't help himself because he looks like a little weasel and he never does interviews which leads fans to make their own stories about him but the truth is he has been a scapegoat for everything bad and a focal point for fan anger for years and years and I find it quite boring and poisonous.
  23. I don't really like the bloke. As I said he or someone at his level should be accountable to the fans and he should be being interviewed on Lcfc YouTube at least once maybe twice a year setting out the direction the clubs going in and explaining the decisions of the past year. Other clubs get this and the fact the club expect to put up the prices of tickets, merchandise and food and drink up at way past the rate of inflation and keep fans completely in the dark is almost criminal. But ... There is absolutely no way in hell he is the bogey man responsible for every single thing that's gone wrong and nothing that gone right that some on here would have you believe. And the more it drags on the more he gets blamed the more it just looks like a witch hunt and the more it just sounds like negative, ill informed moaning that ends up polluting ever part of the message board and actually hurts us when we do need to push back on something like the 25 quid card charge because to the club we are just whinging about everything all of the time.
  24. I agree with this regarding transfers that you should look at the heads of recruitment and see if their period was a success. Steve Walsh: big success Macia: big success Congerton big disappointment Glover: jury still out but last summer was ace So based on that he is doing his job.
