@Mon.is.a.god kept receipts. Top work fella. If they were baying for Enzo's blood and Coopers after back to back wins you have to imagine that only pep coming in and completing an unbeaten season might satisfy their need to moan about everything for a few weeks.
-
Saying you cooper out is like me saying I'm pro sleeping with Margot Robbie, it's an irrelevant statement because it's just not realistic at this time. And if you went pub with me and that's all I talked about you would probably think I was a boring weirdo. Luckily I don't talk about it all the time because I've come to terms with the fact it isn't happening and it's time for you guys to do the same with cooper. The club in the king power era have never been particularly trigger happy i mean what's the earliest into a tenure that we have sacked a manager? I especially remember Pearson and Rodgers getting more time to turn it around than a lot of other clubs would have given them. But this is also irrelevant because in the eyes of the people that matter (the ones who appointed him) sacking him isn't even a tiny consideration he is performing well in the only metrics that really matter points and league position. So all your doing with your constant moaning is upsetting yourselves.

Just the small matter that The football we played under Enzo was against a much weaker level of opponent. Today's manager had that Southampton purring last season, this season not so much wonder what's changed!

Real shame that chance that hit the inside of the post didn't go in you get the feeling it would have done him the world of good. You can't really justify starting him at the moment. -
We have just won back to back premier League games in the most spectacular fashion if you can't put your personal agendas aside and just enjoy if for a bit i genuinely wonder what your doing following a football team.
-
Hahahaha imagine being that entrenched in your views you feel the need to jump on foxestalk and start slagging the manager and arguing with your fellow fans after a 3-2 98th minute winner from 2 nil down. I'm off to lidl to buy a 12 pack to demolish up the fuching city.
-
Almost Two years to the day that we sacked Rodgers we had just beaten Southampton to reach the fa cup final and sat 4th in the league. So you will forgive us for not foaming at the mouth! Most managers get sacked sooner or later in modern football so if you decide a manager is useless and needs sacking you will be proved right eventually.
-
We actually could be better off too - vardys one on one v spurs, late offside penalty drama v villa, complete robbery of an offside at palace 94th minute deflected goal at arsenal. If he should get the sack for the possibility of us being worse of than we actually are could we make an argument for a new contract based on the possibility of it being better than reality Tounge firmly in cheek of course but the logic is hilarious.
-
Not sure I agree most of his best work came in the arsenal game which we got nil points from anyway, I can't remember him making a save yesterday that you wouldn't expect another premier league keeper to make, same with palace, i was away for Everton and spurs was a too long ago to remember.
-
It's one win and 3 draws. Which is 1 win and 2 draws more than 2 of our relegation rivals have managed. I know for certain fans he is worse than Hitler and sending us down with less points than derby in 08 but the facts just don't support this. The fact is we are 15th and either 5 points or 3 points clear of the sides in the relegation zone.
-
Out of interest what changes when you get in the ground why the change?
-
Ranieri had just been sacked by Greece and his reputation was in the mud. City fans were unimpressed with the appointment hence the famous "Claudio? really?" Gary Lineaker tweet. Brendan was probably the only time I remember us attracting a better manager than I thought we could get on paper. He was no fool and understood how good a squad macia and puel had assembled.
-
So your paid your money went to the game and hoped they lose? How did you feel when the goal went in or at full time?
-
What's the point in wasting energy whinging and moaning when you know the club are going to stick with him and he's doing enough to keep us up currently? Your howling at the moon pal he's the clubs man I actually agree that we could do better but we are where we are try to enjoy it.
-
Well put it this way the team and squad is a lot worse than the one we went down with last time. So you could make an arguement that we should be doing better you could also make an argument that we could be doing worse. Also looking at Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United last season you would say the gap between the championship is bigger than ever. I know it's not black and white but Russel Martin at Southampton is a more attacking front footed manager and his side is getting slaughtered. I am not arguing he is the 2nd coming of Christ or should be in charge for the next 3 years but I am arguing that cooper being in charge of Leicester is not some existential crisis that needs action now he is the clubs man he is going nowhere let's see where we are after 12 premier league games.
-
Very well put.
-
Yeah me too mate. I work in Nottingham and have mates who love him but they would admit he's a very negative manager. He isn't a long term solution and think the club know it to. He's been bought in to do a specific job and arguably so far he's doing it. The club are not even thinking about sacking him now. So in my opinion time to give him a bit of breathing room and see where we are after 12 games.
-
I don't think we are getting worse week on week it's all been pretty meh this is what your gonna get with him we are gonna be in games, we are gonna be atrocious to watch and we are gonna grind out points. To be honest I don't know how much of Southampton or wolves you have watched this season but we look a lot more likely to click than they do in fact if we back today up with a win at Southampton you could argue we are clicking. Also palace was a shocking robbery and the premier league admitted he was offside so add those theoretical 2 points on and we are 12th. I'm not saying it's not shit to watch I'm not saying I want him in charge for the next 3 years but the situation is nowhere near as dire as people are making out. I think people just enjoy the drama.
-
The next game is game 8, back to school for you.
-
7 games in we are 5 points clear of Southampton and wolves. We are also top of the 6 team grouping that you would imagine will make up the bottom 6 come the end of the season. Yes he's pragmatic and overly cautious and the football isn't pretty on the eyes but you absolutely can not deny that so far he's grinding out results. The goal for this season was always 17th we don't have to be good we just have to be less shit than 3 other clubs.

Hope some of you in this thread picked up those mens mental health leaflets union FS were handing out pre match because you must be on the floor after that win. Up the city.
-
Didn't they?
-
There is a thread on Cannon 4 posts down. But I don't think scoring 4 against Portsmouth proves he's the real deal be interested to see how he plays for the rest of the season.
-
Quite a long name... Who's he managed?
-
Yeah. Googled him. Looks good on paper, your right he probably would come but it's a massive appointment if you sack cooper early you are probably stuck with the new man for the rest of season whatever happens and this dude would be a huge gamble to keep us up looking at his club record. Arguably We have done it the wrong way round they should have gone for the untested foreign manager like this guy in the summer then bought in the established Dean Smith/Steve cooper type if it went wrong.
