  1. I know it's League 2 opposition but if some of our so called fans can write him off after 27 minutes I'm allowed to proclaim him the 2nd coming of Leo ulloa after 72 minutes!
  2. Agreed not the opposition to judge but been quite impressed.
  3. Not even played a single competitive minute yet! That must be a record even for this place.
  4. We would look absolutely mental if we sacked a manager a week into the season having not backed him in the transfer window it would effect our ability to bring in managerial talent for years! I can't believe people are seriously discussing it.
  5. Maybe I'm an idealistic, happy clapper but I'm of the opinion that you should give new managers longer than 2 games (one of them a good result and performance) before baying for them to be sacked.
  6. Interestingly he scored less goals and assisted less in the Belgium league than Jordan Ayew did in the premier league last season yet Ayew was a pathetic signing and this is good?
  7. The two examples I sent were low and flat I don't think you need to be David Beckham to deliver those and would have every faith in a fatawu or winks to replicate them. But Yes your right though I watched the video and there was a lot of nice deliveries hit into the right areas however the season before (22/23) when Norwich didn't have Andy Hughes he only managed 4 assists so maybe there is more to it than simply having a "set piece specialist" in fact before last season he has never managed more than 4 assists in a season so maybe he isn't the specialist your making him out to be.
  8. Rome wasn't built in a day seems a bit harsh to judge the mans work on 1 game where we had to defend about 20 corners and refreshingly didn't conceded one. also I'm not sure your right about Gabriel Sara a lot of the Norwich free kick goals I've seen weren't a brilliant dead ball whipped in but more clever routines with lots of planned front post movement and doing the unexpected like these (Sara doesn't even take the one against us):
  9. People moan that there hasn't been any thought or strategy to the recruitment but this is so obviously a strategic signing. One of the first things Cooper did was hire Andy Hughes from Norwich. Hughes was set piece coach at Norwich and Norwich scored 18 goals from set peices last season. And jordan ayew is regularly the most fouled player in the premier league so it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to realise that he hasn't been signed for his goal contributions! I read someone else describe it as a moneyball signing and I think that's spot on. We aren't going to be able to compete talent for talent with at least 12 teams in this division so we are going to outwork them, try to hit them on the counter and win lots of free kicks and cash in on them and Im all for it!
  10. They asked him if he knew he was leaving and he said "yes and no". I think reading between the lines the club were under a transfer embargo so couldn't afford to officially release him in case they weren't allowed to sign new players for the coming season in which case he would have got another years contract.
  11. I want this to happen for few reasons. 1. The manager thinks he will suit are style of play and after watching the game v spurs you can sort of see why it would have been good to have someone help us get up the pitch and win some free kicks to relieve the pressure. 2. It will upset some of the most negative, moaning, whinging, posters on here and at this point I find the meltdowns quite amusing. 3. Our armchair transfer experts seem to hate it and seeing as they thought tete was the 2nd coming of Christ and Winks was a terrible signing then this has a much higher chance of working out without their blessing!
  12. A little bit cringey but I thought this was pretty good!
  13. Mixed emotions delighted we are through bitterly disappointed with the streaming service. Paid for it this morning and listened to Hampshires innings at work, deliberately avoided the coverage and foxestalk and planned to watch Leicestershires innings with a nice cold beer when I got home and put the little one to bed at about 7ish. I have done this loads on YouTube. Sadly the stream doesn't seem to work after the live event has finished the club seem to expect you to be able sit glued to a screen for 6 hours on a Friday when you have a job and family. That is not how people consume sport these days. Annoyed because if I had known I would have kept listening to it. Anyway whatever that's the last 4 quid they will get out of me. Delighted they are through
  14. It's not that much of a forgotten story we seem to hear about them every year or so.
  15. Is today on a stream or YouTube can't find a link on the clubs twitter if it's a paid stream can someone send me a link.
  16. Claudio retired I think Rodgers is at Celtic, what's your point?
  17. Following that logic So who was running the club when we won premier league, fa cup and comm shield wins, and 3 European runs? Who was director of football?
  18. It makes me laugh some foxestalkers think we are absolutely screwed the worse run club ever from top to bottom yet simultaneously get raging angry and seem confused that we aren't able to attract any of Europes top young talent easily.
  19. There's plenty going on at the club that I am not happy with for instance: - The season ticket card fiasco. - the astronomical price increase for non season ticket holders. - the lack of transparency over the ground move. - the lack of transparency over anything really. But in terms of signings I'm a little bit calmer than some of the more hysterical posters. Last summer's business was I think we can all agree was very good yet we didn't get fatawu, mav and akgun till after the season started. It's not ideal but signing players takes time unless you are going to be weak and cave to the transfer fee and their salary and contract length demands which I'm sure no city fan would want us doing judging by the clubs current situation. Also if you are going to have a meltdown for trivial reasons like another club has shown an interest in a player your after then you run the risk of it just sounding like whinging and when we do need to speak strongly in one voice like the season ticket card thing it loses it's effectiveness.
  20. This message board used to be very reactionary and have various meltdowns throughout the season it's now got the point where it's just one long meltdown and it's becoming quite boring and to be honest they lose their significance. A bit like white noise on a telly. Honest question how do you do it? It must be exhausting... if (checks notes to see what it is today) Hoffenheim bidding on a player we are interested in sends you into a spiral of rage and disappointment maybe football isn't the sport for you or at least maybe Leicester isn't the club for you.
  21. Yeah I tend to agree I used to enjoy watching him play scored a couple of brilliant headers on the end of marc albrighton headers too. But when you think he cost 30 million and was probably on over 100k a week and the club has absolutely no idea how to utilise him and he left on a free. then if he wasn't one of the biggest donkeys of the last 10 years he has to be worth a shout for most disastrous signing.
  22. Anyone signed in the summer of 2016 has to be in with a shout so... Musa, Kaputska, Hernandez, Ron Robert Zieler, Slimani. Such a great opportunity to build on the success of the previous year. Utterly thrown away by awful signings.
  23. What about vice versa? Some happy memories in there.
