Yeah there's no point at all. The media have scared them witless though so to them it's seems the right thing to do. I actually feel sorry for the older than one's though, they're living out the final part of their lives with nothing more than a sock wrapped around their face. Depressing

Yeah loads definitely virtue signalling, and they'll no doubt love it when certain places require them again later on in the year. They'll happily tell people ' I've never taken mine off'

Public transport is the only exception. But I've noticed a few people with them under their nose which you'd never get here before. Really old people in supermarkets have surprised me the most. I honestly thought most would carry on with them.

After Spain completely lifted it's mask wearing several weeks ago I expected people to still be wearing them in many settings. Well I've been pleasantly surprised that is not the case, where I am anyway. You still get a few here and there and some loons outside but they seem to have ditched then on mass. No doubt they'll get them back on when told to but for now it's bliss.

When I've been through border control in Spain they just glance at my phone. So glad I didn't get boosted for that. Just pissed I got the first two

I'm glad you picked up on the word 'sadly' as I did the same. That paragraph was spoken recently by Bill Gates, when most of the world celebrated more Covid immunity he actually sounds disappointed.

Sadly, the virus itself, particularly Omicron, is a type of vaccine. That is it creates both B-cell and T-cell immunity and it’s done a better job of getting out to the world population than we have with vaccines.

Maybe they see that low risk as being worth it for the greater good.

Not heard this personally but I get what you're saying. Just mucking about mate. I mean it's the longest protest, it's getting the most coverage (not that that's hard) and it's the most creative.
