  1. For the Huddersfield game, away end is on general sale… https://www.htafc.com/news/2023/december/ticket-info-leicester-city-a/
  2. Am I reading this right that I only need to buy a train ticket to Haywards Heath, and the rest of the cost to get to Falmer is already paid for in the matchday ticket price? https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/siteassets/pdfs/travel-guide-nov17.pdf
  3. Is there a separate list for N'Golo Kante?
  4. You have to get HMRC to change your tax code, which you can do online https://www.gov.uk/check-income-tax-current-year. They will then notify your employer who will make the tax adjustment.
  5. That's great your son is getting the help he needs. We are veterans of the system now as my son is 7 and has had a special needs statement (now EHCP) since he was 3. Getting the statement is the biggest hurdle to overcome, as without it it's very difficult to get help or support through the education system. Still the level of support he gets is hit and miss and funding cuts mean the council and health service take things away from him almost as soon as they grant them. Good luck with it.
  6. I think its great, you get to sit as far away as possible from the work colleagues you dislike the most, and nobody raises any questions.
  7. I went down for a couple of hours before the City game, attendance was good, several hundred there including lots of families as they put on entertainment for the kids.
  8. Even the FT is on the bandwagon. Lengthy article on us today (behind a paywall) full of inaccuracies and heavily patronising. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/6ffadee2-fc45-11e5-b5f5-070dca6d0a0d.html
  9. Plus a star above their crest to represent best goal difference in the Premier League 2015/2016

  12. It is not a fundamental human right to own your own home. It is a quirky British obsession.
  13. Stamp Duty acts as a useful way to help prevent people playing the residential property market like they are trading the stock market.
  14. The other day I went to the post office and they had run out of stamps.
  15. Millwall away on New Year's Day he was on fire.
  16. Fine strike from GTF a couple of weeks ago. One of the main benefits of scoring a 30 yarder is it's a shorter distance to jog back to the centre circle for the restart.
  17. Admittedly I haven't seen any UK hockey for 10 yrs so it may have improved, but back then the atmosphere was lame, the arenas half full (if that), and the attitude of the players on the ice was poor. Most of the players in the UK league had come over from the minor leagues in North America having not made the cut. At least in the minor leagues in the US and Canada, they knew a run of good form could get them a move up to the next level or even to the NHL because the scouts were out watching and tracking their progress. Once they moved to the UK, these guys were out of sight and out of mind and it showed.I hope things have improved? I did find a lot of people watching hockey in the UK did it more as a social thing rather than because they enjoyed the sport itself. Edit: that last comment is an observation not a criticism btw.
  18. Love the sport. Used to stay up to watch NHL on channel 5 when I was in my teens and developed a passion for it. I was living in Chicago when the Blackhawks won their Stanley Cup in 2010 and went to a quite a few games. Always a great atmosphere, high intensity, passionate crowd. I've also seen very good hockey games at Madison Sq Garden and the old Montreal Forum. Where I have watched games in the UK, it has been very very poor in comparison to the NHL.

  21. Depends on the dual carriageway. Some I have used have been fine, others have been a terrible experience, e.g. cycling on the A3 into London trying to avoid potholes while cars fly past at 60mph is not recommended. If its a quiet road with good visibility and a decent surface then I would have no problem riding on a dual carriageway.
  22. This is absurd. He sounds like a child.
  23. When the media changes the way a foreign name is spelt or pronounced to try to demonstrate their worldliness, but just end up sounding like dicks. Al-ky-der Ay-airton Senna Barl, for FC Basle More recently, Olympiacos with a c
  24. I would find that quite reassuring. I bet nobody has ever said that to Iain Dowie.
