  1. Signing tomorrow then!
  2. Richardson and Keita in Soumare out Winks, Ndidi, Richardson, Keita, Hamza as our options for the 2 man pivot
  3. Wages and transfer fee we would want will be too big for anyone in the Championship to buy He isn’t going to play for us so a loan with an obligation to buy is our best chance of getting rid really
  4. Guaranteed starter at Hull where as he probably wouldn’t have been with us
  5. Saw a couple of clips of this game last night, probably going to pick it up sometime this week
  6. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1932224/Liverpool-transfer-news-Ben-Doak-Brentford?utm_source=app Liverpool have decided to let Ben Doak leave on loan this summer after assessing his performances in pre-season. Leicester City and Southampton have been joined by Brentford in pursuit of the 18-year-old, who is viewed as one of the brightest talents to through Liverpool’s youth ranks in recent years. A straight loan deal is the most likely solution for Doak, but Express Sport understands that the Reds intend to take all options into consideration, including those which involve permanent buy options. Doak - a direct winger who rose through the system at Celtic before joining Liverpool in 2022 for £600,000 - was restricted to five senior appearances in all competitions last campaign due to injuries. Pre-season has been a valuable opportunity for the teenage starlet to leave an impression on new manager Arne Slot, and he played for 25 minutes of Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday evening, which concluded their tour of the USA. The Reds subsequently committed to letting Doak pursue regular game time elsewhere in 2024/25, with Brentford, Southampton and Leicester all offering Premier League football. On last season’s injury woes, the wide-man said: "Who knows if I would have played? Obviously in my mind I’d like to think that I would have. "But I can’t look back at last season because it’s last season, I need to look at this season and just try to get as many appearances on the board as possible." Slot’s predecessor Jurgen Klopp was a big fan of Doak, who was unfortunately ruled out of Scotland’s Euro 2024 squad due to injury.
  7. Still seems to be an issue with the agent file on standby but Rennes still hopes that the agent will come to his senses and be more reasonable
  8. So the latest update from The Athletic is just what was already coming out of France and actually a bit behind in that Rennes have “paused” negotiations? https://www.footmercato.net/a7146306146852727680-le-stade-rennais-garde-espoir-pour-yaser-asprilla Stade Rennais made a nice, accepted offer to Watford for Colombian winger Yaser Asprilla. But the file has been complicated. Everything is not finished yet. Stade Rennais is at the heart of a particularly complex file. A few days ago, we mentioned a concrete interest in the young Colombian winger Yaser Asprilla, 20, belonging to Watford. But we revealed to you that his agent was on his way to negotiate directly with Leicester, promoted to the Premier League, unlike Watford. But nothing has been done yet. This morning, The Athletic mentioned an offer from Rennes accepted by Watford, to the tune of €28 million + bonuses. According to our information, this offer was made last week by the Breton club. From then on, it was a question of agreeing with the player and his agent. Rennes has delayed This is where things get complicated. Despite an enticing salary proposal, around €1.2 million net per season, the Asprilla clan has obviously played with the nerves of Breton leaders, on several details. Cooled, the latter therefore decided to delay in this file, despite their accepted offer. Since then, the agent has started discussions with Leicester, but everything can still change in this case. Already a Colombian international (6 selections, 2 goals), Asprilla will probably leave the second English division, where he scored 6 goals and delivered 7 assists last season. Able to play in several positions, even if he shines more particularly on the right wing, he will have to choose his next destination in the coming days.
  9. He is Jhon Duran’s agent as well who plays for Villa
  10. Looking at the stats from last season it looks like he could be just as frustrating as Daka when it comes to finishing? Fofana Minutes played - 1,567 minutes Goal scored - 5 xG - 7.3 Big chances missed - 12 Daka Minutes played - 1,095 Goals scored - 7 xG - 9.4 Big chances missed - 9
  11. That kind of deal for him as well as someone like Elijah Adebayo from Luton permanently now and I would be happy
  12. @Finnegan we need an even lower tier than the lowest tier we already have for Ekrem Konur
  13. Kind of player I would probably prefer as a loan with an option/obligation to buy as a backup to another striker we sign Not sure he has shown enough yet to come straight in and be first choice
  14. 20th We will be the whipping boys like Sheff Utd were last season
  15. How many promoted teams go into their first game of the season in the Prem with a weaker squad than the one they got promoted with?
  16. Oh I definitely don’t want us to get him instead of someone like Asprilla or a more creative player who would start I wanted Rowe as competition/backup for both wingers, and realistically we do need that as well
  17. He is a good goalscorer and dribbler and has good defensive stats, so I feel like it would be poor from us to miss out on him when he can cover so many different positions, cheap, and is only 21
  18. Fuming Can cover both wings and 10 and will be cheap
  19. Holiday Inn in Tamworth been set on fire now, I think it is the one right next to the stadium and snow dome
  20. On big wages and picks up a lot of different injuries
  21. Alfie Doughty - competition for Kristiansen Mandela Keita - competition for both Winks and Wilf *Jonathan Rowe - competition for both wings and can also play as a 10, also only has 1 year left on his contract *Matt O'Riley, Calvin Stengs, Cameron Puertas - new creative midfielder, needed, now. *Fotis Ioannidis, Kévin Denkey, Jonas Wind, Jonathan Burkardt, Elijah Adebayo - new striker, needed, now.
  22. The worry I have with Szmodics is that the season he has just had is very much not the norm for him I don't think we should be spending £10-15m+ on someone who will turn 29 next month as well - we have enough older and experienced players in the squad, we should be focusing on younger players
