I'm not worried about the deal - both Sporting and Fatawu himself have confirmed it Club probably just doing some stupid announcement video for him I don't think the club / Cooper would be able to get out of it either

Yes, thankfully

Below is from back in March https://sheffunitedway.co.uk/2024/03/06/could-sheffield-united-revisit-deal-for-striker-they-once-scouted/ According to transfer insider Ben Jacobs, via caughtoffside, a number of Premier League clubs are keeping close tabs on Diallo. Brentford, Burnley and Fulham have been credited with interest. The latter, Fulham, could see the Senegal forward as a cheaper option to Chelsea’s Armando Broja. It is understood that Al Shabab are prepared to take a loss on Diallo, while the top-flight clubs in question all value the goalscorer at around £10 million. The report also states that the player is willing to take a pay-cut.

If we want a new left wing back and Cooper wants it to be domestic I want us to go for Alfie Doughty from Luton
-
I do worry about whether Ricardo would be able to manage a wing back role now
-
Only for a couple of months, Glover joined in April 2019 and Targett left to Villa in July
-
Barely played the last 2 seasons Spent most of last season injured and the season before he was a barely used squad player They would also want at least £7.5m for him if it was a permanent deal

https://www.lcfc.com/news/4052284/leicester-city-confirm-de-cordova-reid-signing Leicester City Football Club can today confirm the signing of Jamaica international winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid, subject to league approval. The 31-year-old has penned a three-year deal on Filbert Way and arrives at the Club having most recently made more than 200 appearances for Fulham.

Looks like it is usually Adidas who would set the price and the club will get somewhere in the region of £20-£30 per shirt sold https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12254755/Man-United-Arsenal-shirts-risen-price-14-cent-new-season.html According to Dr Peter Rohlmann, a German sports marketing expert, the ‘basic’ cost of making a ‘typical’ £80 shirt is just £8 per unit, or 10 per cent of the sales price. That £8 includes the cost of materials and labour (usually in Asia) plus transportation. The retailer of the shirt, which is often a club, typically pockets £26.40 from an £80 shirt, with the manufacturing brand taking £23.47. VAT is £13.33, with the club receiving £4.80 ‘licence fee’ per shirt, while £2.40 per shirt is spent on marketing, and £1.60 on local distribution. These figures are illustrative and vary slightly depending on the contracts between the clubs and their manufacturers, who typically pay a lump sum on top to the clubs each year. Clubs contacted by In The Money say their kit providers — including adidas, Nike and Puma — are responsible for setting the shirt prices.

Probably about half the league now with these dodgy front of shirt gambling sponsors Shame we have to wait until 26/27 for it to stop

Leicester are also hopeful of persuading Wilfred Ndidi to sign a new contract. Ndidi is a free agent this summer and has been targeted by clubs in England and overseas, but talks are ongoing and Leicester are growing confident of reaching an agreement. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/07/05/steve-cooper-first-leicester-signing-bobby-de-cordova-reid/

As long as it isn’t a stupid contract then I am alright with this with him being a squad player Just off the back of a good season with Fulham as a squad player - 6 goals and 2 assists in 1,423 minutes (15.8 90s) - goal contribution every 155 minutes VERY versatile Doesn’t appear to have any previous serious injury issues and over the last 10 seasons has pretty much always been available for his clubs Also IF we do get relegated then I think he would be a very good player for us to have in the Championship Realistically we can’t be buying every player - we need at least a couple of smart free signings like this (Sergi Cardona next please )
-
But realistically we can’t pay a transfer fee for EVERY player in this window, we are going to have to get at least a couple of free players
-
From our current squad with Okoli signing and Ndidi renewing Hermansen Faes, Vestergaard, Okoli Ricardo, Winks, Ndidi, Kristiansen Fatawu, Vardy, Mavididi

https://www.premierleague.com/news/4051235 An independent Commission has dismissed a challenge by Leicester City FC that it has no jurisdiction to consider an alleged breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs). In March, the Premier League referred the club to the independent Commission for the alleged breach. Leicester City subsequently challenged the Commission’s authority to hear the case. The alleged breach relates to the PSRs for Season 2022/23, when the club was a member of the Premier League. Leicester City has appealed the independent Commission’s decision. -
