I bet they weren't moaning about the £3 admission fee! I've stopped drinking, so I didn't notice the increase.
-
I think a fair few came in late. By the end it looked a good crowd. As @adam keeps telling me, keeping the fans interested is absolutely key.
-
Works exactly like that. Apparently, the polling is extensive. I was the only one there aside from the volunteers in South Wigston polling station. Hardly surprising. Looks like South Leics. and Harborough will remain blue.
-
Me neither. All my family and friends vote and they haven't either.
-
Has anyone on here ever taken an exit poll?
-
The guy on the wing with the grey hair (dubbed Gooch Snr.) is Sam Moore. The last club I can see he played for is Aylestone Park. Ronnie worked hard and took his goals well, but I'm expecting a big step up in class from last night to UCL Div 1. Dunton & Broughton finished 8/10 last season in the LSL Div 1. Friday will be a much tougher test, so should be an interesting evening of football.

My application has been submitted.

When I was a window fitter we used to buy sealed glass units from Dave at Cleartherm. My Dad used to know him quite well.

The supporters meeting at Coalville had a fantastic turnout tonight. It was an evening full of positivity. Both Steve Cartwright (now Chairman) and Ash Brown (new first team manager) spoke very well. There's still a difficult road ahead, but with the backing of some excellent people, the town should hopefully have a senior men's team for many years to come.
-
It will. Hopefully, we maintain a decent core. A decent Vase run would help. I’d imagine a lot of casual followers will start watching Harborough, especially if they are doing well.
-
The Ground Hop fixtures on the opening weekend last season averaged 500. We could get a very healthy attendance. The trick will be keeping people interested.
-
And they have. The Coalville crowdfund target of £5k has been surpassed in 4 days. The supporters meeting is tomorrow, so excellent timing and great to see people get behind the club.

12pm on a Sunday in July. I'll have to set my alarm.
-
Doesn't look like we can be promoted in the first season as this will be classed as voluntary relegation.
-
Bob's a lovely man. My sister worked with him for years and he did part of my teacher training, which I never completed. Would've been nice to see Coalville play on Cambridge Road.
-
Do you know if Bob King still involved with Saffron?
-
Weren’t Saffron moved to the MFL? Think Holywell are the only other Leics. side in the league. Fully agree that a robust pathway from juniors to senior needs to be embedded. Seems to be the philosophy we’ll be working towards.
-
This time last week I thought we were finished for at least 12 months. It’s now time for the supporters to match the commitment shown by those to get us back up and running.
-
The leagues are constituted next week, so it should be soon.
-
I saw this last night, and you're correct, it will give the club a chance to find its feet again if the application is succesful. The proposal has been submitted this afternoon, so all we can do is wait and hope. The two blokes behind it deserve a statue if we have senior men's football in Coalville for season 24/25.
-
The deal was agreed the day before Glyn bizarrely pulled the plug on the team. I think he'll do well.
-
The proposal for a senior men's team for this season needs to be submitted to the FA by 8 a.m. on Friday. It's a six-month process condensed into three days, but given that the FA is fast-tracking the application, it would suggest they are supportive. Fingers crossed.
-
Him and Wayne both, how they do it alongside having families and full time jobs I do not know. By making sacrifices that few people would.
-
It would probably mean dropping to Step 6. There's a space in the UCL North, so I guess they'd move a team up from UCL Div 1 to create a space for us. Fingers crossed. If Steve helps get this over the line he really does deserve a well-earned break.
