Looks like odds have been suspended on this now
-
But it would be so Leicester if we all thought he’s going to shit, and then turns out to be the second coming
-
@Ric Flair did you end up messaging t’other Burch? I guess I’m hoping for an unlikely inside scoop on us being ditched at the altar instead of whether he was coming with Potter.
-
Urgh.
-
Hopefully

Me and my old man got chatting to him outside a pub in Copenhagen before the Champions League game. Seemed like a nice bloke.
-
He’s mates with Ian Burchnall from their time in Scandinavia, who is now a coach at Wolves. The Burch is an LCFC fan. I wonder if Graham would bring Ian with him. Then all we’d need would be a Gary and maybe a Geoff, and we’d have the full set of middle aged names.

Vichai would never have let it get to the point where it unravelled like it did. Could well have still been here, but under better direction me thinks.

It’s not a parallel move. We is massive!

I’m guessing this is regarded as good news? -
Do you think Rudkin operates a political type spin operation? Personally I wouldn’t have thought so, as he seems like the type who struggles to tie up his shoelaces or buy the right horse feed.

As many have said Foden was poor. But imo the two weak links in this side come at the back and front end - Pickford and Kane. Pickford hoofs it long too much, gives the ball back and invites pressure. I’m willing to bet it might be infectious as well because then others start doing it. And then we look like the England of old, which is criminal given we have much better technical ability on the ball now. But maybe we still lack the mentality, and I think Pickford certainly does. He’s too hot headed, but not sure we have a Mads or Ederson style keeper in this country just yet? I feel like the conversations about Rooney that everyone was having about 2-3 years before he retired is now warranted with Kane. He didn’t really contribute much yesterday, other than drawing fouls late on. I said the same in the World Cup. -

3-1 England. The key will be if they hold and give, but do it at the right time. -
The Sun are saying that for accounting reasons the £10m compo package from Chelsea for FFP is like a £50m player sale. Is anyone able to say if that’s right or bullshit?
-
There’s a reason why he’s not really been a no 1 anywhere other than loan clubs. He falls into the bracket of being good enough to stand in occasionally, but not good enough to play consistently.

24 years ago today Peter Taylor was appointed… If you could get in a time machine, and fiddle with the breaks on his car, who would you appoint instead? If I recall, and I was 14, I think Big Sam was also linked? It wouldn’t have been nice, but I bet we wouldn’t have tanked in the years ahead.

If he does come in he needs a magic wand with a points deduction on the cards

I’m getting bored of this. The club have said and hide behind the idea of doing their business in private, and I get that. But it can also be cover for them not having a coherent strategy or knowing what they’re doing.
-
That’s the issue with people like Maresca, they give that impression and say they want to work at a club for 5 or 6 years but then cut and run at the first opportunity. Potter will do exactly the same if he does well with us over a season and rehabs himself.
-
I see. I hope this doesn’t get embarrassing like when Spurs recently got rejected by about 8 managers and ended up appointing Espirito-Santo. A new name on Skybet is Gary O’Neil at 25/1. Interesting…

The match day itself seems reasonably family friendly. But everything else is non-existent. I’ve mentioned a few times in other threads that they should be bending over backwards to get that next generation hooked - such as having a first time package for a child including their first ticket etc. You get to meet Filbert Fox, and various other things. They did introduce something after some feedback, but the child already had to have a match ticket, rendering it pointless really in my eyes. It’s really hard for a child to get a ticket for their first game to try just to see if they want to go back, and it doesn’t seem reasonable to have to buy a membership or whatever. A membership could be the next step, but I feel strongly that they should make it much easier to enhance that first match day experience.

Davide Ancelotti hopefully would mean some nice loans from his dad

His agent has had a blinder. He was very good last year, but surely a year or 2 max… Agent GOAT!

All that clamour that I was part of to say that he should go to the World Cup, well I changed my mind in our relegation season. He’s clearly got an attitude problem, and he more often than not goes missing in the final third of seasons. Sometimes you get the impression he’s more interested in showing off a £2k bag than he is in playing football. Also on him missing out on big occasions, I’m reminded that Rodger’s started him on the bench in the cup final. Was the reason for that to offer more solid options in midfield, or was he injured? I can’t remember.
