No point them keep passing the ball to Daka with his back to goal, he can’t control it. Mav is such a greedy player and bad decisions every time. The ease at which these clowns will pass backwards and kill everything instead of attempting a forward pass.

Score line aside, which was caused by JV and the clowns playing themselves into pressure as always. They are playing exactly the same. JV being so slow and playing the ball into crowded area with back to goal. Mav ignoring people around him and being his braindead greedy self. He has done nothing to fix this game after game.

It was JV who caused the panic.

Brain dead at every stage.

The line up looks better, but that is meaningless if JV dictates the tempo and always drifts too high. Ricardo hopefully can pass the ball and isn’t as boring as he has been lately and Thomas maybe runs beyond the winger. if Mav and Fatawu are in greedy mode then we won’t get anything other than countered. If they pass quickly into space and flow as a team we could see something. Doubt it.

Thats probably a good thing. He was starting to play like a cross between Mav & Ayew. Keep him away Marti until a real manager can teach him something.

It’s the slow play allowing the opposition to sit deep. lack of overlaps and support that annoys me every week and nothing changes. You could forgive a preseason game but not this far into the season. Don’t they watch replays, heat maps or have an actual clue. I posted the highlights in the Abdul thread. Aluko, but could be anyone, just stands watching Mav with two players on him with so much space ahead. When he does run into space at the second attempt, Mav ignores him. This lack of play, greed and JV always being out of position and unable to tackle anyone or read danger. Their second goal after they fouled Abdul, our players were standing crying and their winger was already on his bike ready for a quick pass into space.

At 2 mins sums this team up. Slow, greedy and over playing. Mav gets slow ball from JV who is so high up the pitch. Aluko stands watching when there is so much space. Mav stands still and twists, Skipp half arsed run. Pass in a busy area and Mav gets the ball again. Ignores Aluko who has actually offered support. He does get a cross off but he could’ve got into a great shooting position if they played a 1-2. More times than not they overplay and we get hit in the break, with JV dead in the water.

He was good when KDH would slot balls into space for him to run at, then cut inside to shoot. Like his goal against Chelsea last season. He isn’t great when we play slow with his back to goal on the halfway line with no support. He also doesn’t help himself when there finally is support he plays like Ayew, trying to do everything but does so little.

It’s all the more concerning that they don’t seem to be aware of what’s going wrong, otherwise they would fix it. Marti just rotates and hopes for the best. It doesn’t matter who he puts in if they all follow his lack of tactics. It will be the same as always. JV walking football, inviting pressure and causing their own problems. Gets caught out at the halfway line. Full backs that call for the ball but will always send it backwards and greedy wingers that are all wax no wick.

If a fullback actually does pass forwards and crosses the halfway line, they just stand gawping at the wingers waiting to pass backwards. How simple is it to just run forward into space. Our wingers need someone to coach them as it seems they have been left to their own devices for too long, and their mistakes are not being corrected.

Yet we would’ve torn teams apart if Faes and JV didn’t walk the ball to the halfway line and passed first time when people were in space. Why is it so alien to play to the strengths and adapt when needed instead of rinsing the same tactics with the same players, making the same mistakes. Marti could turn this around by speeding it all up. make the decision to get rid of JV. He’s already taken Ayew out who was a bottleneck high up the pitch. Quick pass out to get JJ driving forwards with the wingers and Ricardo moving together. Nothing will change when you don’t know what to do.

Let’s agree that he does want to attack, then his tactics and management are just not very good. If he binned JV off, played JJ next to Winks and got Mav & Fatawu to actually pass the ball quickly to a player who over laps in space, then that would change my mind. The winner against Norwich should be a standard attack tactic that we try 20 times a game, not just once at the end of the game. He isn’t an attacking manager. His goal scoring record has backed up what we are seeing with our eyes. I want to see clown and his useless assistants out of the club. It might not be the best answer, I have no idea who replaces him but it can’t be any worse than what’s happening.

We need a manager who knows how to attack. What we are seeing is the same as he did at QPR, 1 goal per game and low table. I would agree to sticking with him if we were seeing a method that was peppering the opposition and it was just the fine tuning. We have a manager that doesn’t even set his team up to make a one two and run into space. Unless we can get someone in to help him because Marti and his team are failing.

Financial noise aside. Giving Marti till the end of the season is just continuing what we are seeing now. He is setting them up to fail with his tactics, and on top of that the team aren’t applying themselves for whatever the individual reason.

Yeah they developed the greed because of Marti’s lack of tactics. When the help is there they ignore. Mav has always been a greedy player, he never passes when someone else actually gets ahead of him in space.

Their players also passed the ball when someone ran into the space. If our players do make a run, which is really rare, Mav and Fatawu never pass as they are too greedy. That’s down to how the manager has treated them all season.

I’m glad he started to get forward but it didn’t help that they are clearly not working on any sort of wing play. Mav could’ve played him into space a few times, then stood close to Mav who ignored him again. That would’ve freed him or get a return pass in space. Greedy, undisciplined wingers when a full back actually offers support. Same with Abdul. Such a poor mistake to rugby tackle like Thomas does. Hopefully it’s something he can learn from rather than a bad habit. I feel the youngster don’t have any leaders, role models or a manager that can inspire. Monga started diving and Aluko tackles like Thomas. Send him to Fuchs in Jan.

Yet no one stops it or they come up with a different way to play. I couldn’t care less if he has this amazing pass (citation needed) he is at fault for the slow tempo, inviting a press and forcing others under pressure. Surely any decent manager would have a technical team highlighting mistake after mistakes. Pearson was perceived to be a bit of a caveman but behind the scenes he pushed for tech to improve the individual, which improved the team. Not one leader in our team. Ricky sadly isn’t captain material. A great guy doesn’t make him a leader.

Hamza constantly passing back, just like Ricardo in the previous game and Thomas every time. It’s frustrating watching the ease at which these clowns are happy to play themselves into trouble after inviting a press.

JV constantly gets caught on the halfway line, for someone so big he has zero strength. It’s not even like he is a bumbling idiot that can’t avoid fouling because of his size. Him and Faes cause the counters by playing a high line and playing so slow. Faes can’t help but back off and make the wrong choice. They don’t seem to be able to manage the defence during set pieces. No communication apart from a shoulder shrug when they concede.

All our wingers play the same, expected to do everything, overplay and have become greedy. They haven’t improved and Monga lost that spark. Marti sets the team up to offer no support, if they do they just stand close to them and not actually help.

It’s frustrating watching every team we play open us up on the wings with players getting forward and passing to that player in space. No slowing down, no trying to beat everyone or sending it backwards. This clown never sets them up to do it. Aluko played like Thomas, just stood and watched as Mav tried to do everything. This style is coming from Marti.

Even before the sending off. JV high line as alway. Pissing around passing backwards. Both wingers being greedy and no one making runs into space. Standard set up from Marti all season. Crap manager, no one has moved and the style of play is constantly poor.
