His major weakness is actually defending though, bizarre player really. But going forward his ability on the ball is wizardry.
-
Yeah, it's a dilemma. Arguably he's ready to play for us but realistically he probably gets 5-6 sub appearances and a few cup games between now and the end of the season.

Ben Nelson take a bow. Proper defensive display, useful on the ball too. Got to be pushing 1st team properly now, forget Doyle, Nelson is the bigger talent and ours. Tom Cannon is so impressive too, I've every confidence that barring injuries he is the real deal. Great to see Maswanhise finally make his debut for us 3 seasons after it should have happened. Casadei seemed much more aggressive today, which was positive. An enjoyable game but we gifted them a lot of chances 1st half and 2nd half our set piece defending was revolting. Its a major weakness of ours, 2hich having been subjected to it for 2 seasons under Rodgers before he tried to remedy it, is frustrating. Enzo needs to get to the bottom of it. Right, I want Maidstone Utd at home.- 234 replies

Suspect defensively but his passing and forward play is immense. Ben Nelson showed him how to defend today, I'd rather he got more chances than Doyle now. He's class.
-
Got the aura of a genuinely top class striker. We've done it again.
-
Mystifying he's barely been used yet. We don't need a new centre half this window.

1-0 up Jake Evans -
This is world class
-
Is that true? He's trained with the 1st team quite a lot in October and November.
-
If he's only just returned to training this week, there was very little chance he'd be ready yet. Enzo tends to have them back in for at least 2 weeks before they're in the match day squad. McAteer has been training now since Christmas and hasn't been included beforehand.

Buzzing for Nelson and Wanya. Go get em lads.
-
And yet they'll still probably get £10-15m for him whilst we're busy pissing Enzo off saying we have to sell players but won't budge.
-
With 7-8 changes, I'd imagine something like this. Stolarczyk Ricardo Coady Nelson Doyle Yunus/Casadei Hamza KDH Albrighton Cannon Wanya

Genuinely don't think he's heard of him. -

Good to see Enzo is invested in Sammy Braybrooke's recovery and future here anyway. 🙄 The blokes barely ever heard of him. Bit surprising that is. -
No doubt you'd have dismissed the reported rejected bids the summer before for the likes of Castagne and Soumare too. We've a history of doing it. The asking prices we set for players we don't want or who want out has often been out of kilter.
-
Well it is, because if it was just getting rid of registered players then loaning players out would be an option. We named 4 goalkeepers in the 25 man squad and 1 has already gone. As it stands we've 1 space left. But it's not that, Enzo specifically said players need to be sold. We need the money.
-
Enzo was quite clear we have to sell players, rather than just make space in the squad.
-
Probably only took part in some of it as he's still recovering from injury. He's on 2 of the 3 LCFC this Instagram stories today. https://www.instagram.com/stories/lcfc/3273590028158128715?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MTJyaWYyanNtcTRtdA==

You say that but we were busy turning down £4m for Iversen last summer knowing fine well he was 3rd or 4th choice and only in the 25 man squad to make up the numbers. We still make some strange decisions on our attempts to sell players.
-
I suspect it is to do with finances
-
Enzo also kept saying players needed to leave first last summer whilst Yunus and Fatawu were at the training ground having medicals.

He's been very careful with Ricardo and Justin but Ndidi possibly goes under the radar on his vulnerability to injuries. That said, Enzo seldom plays him for more than an hour each game and if he can only do an hour and needs to be rested completed every handful of games then that's a massive concern.
-
Napoli have in the past paid vasts amounts for players. Not sure what their current financial situation is like but as recent Serie A winners and another season in the Champions League, it's got to be healthier than most.

I want us to do a protest to warn the club off ever thinking of appointing Russell Martin. Who's with me?
