It's hard to understand how they keep on top of all this. The EFL have different criteria than the PL and they don't tend to interfere with one another. That said, they signed over 20 players last season and regardless of amortisation over 5+ years, they will have spent a fortune.

Sadly Ndidi is always good for a couple of injuries of a month or more a season. I'd doubt they'd have replaced him if this was just a 2-3 week injury as its still 10 days until the tournament starts. I think this is a bad one.

The gulf in class between the two leagues is often most notable with attacking players. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. He is now showing how effective and strong he can be at this level and I've no concerns over his defensive play and ability to take players on even at a higher level but there'll be a big shift for him against PL opposition at getting in to goalscoring positions and having the sound technique to regularly put them away.
