  1. Another who might be changing agents before signing a pro deal?
  2. Hopefully he goes to Leuven
  3. Philadelphia Union podcast said he was used almost exclusively in a front two there where he scored a lot of goals.
  4. Evans has just signed up to the same agency as Marti Cifuentes. Part of the delay in signing a pro deal could well be because of negotiations between player and agent on who's representing them long term. You wouldn't sign a pro deal under an agency you're about to leave, so maybe that's what's held it up.......
  5. With Opoku out on loan now and very few striker options, he surely must be called up. Very odd that given our improvements in bringing through players up a level quicker, that he's not benefitted from that. I don't see what else he can get from U18s right now, his record is immense. As it was with the U16s.
  6. Wonder what the plan is for Cover. Mixed success on loan but he's clearly talented. I don't see him getting any minutes here as Aluko is ahead of him.
  7. I like the sound of his strengths, but I hope we use him correctly. Daka is better in a two and now we have James we actually could go 4-4-2.
  8. Yeah he's got a bit of needle about him. I'm concerned that he's yet another who is better in a front two though.
  9. Philadelphia Union podcast have kindly done a lowdown on Carranza for us. Interestingly seems to deliver in big games for them, also got the goal that took Feyenoord through at San Siro. His main strengths are pressing and linking play. Decent in the air and a good finisher, but better in a front two than a lone striker though. Which is seemingly been the same issue we've had with almost every striker we've signed in the last decade and then proceed never to play with a front two.
  10. He's got very few redeeming qualities other than often being in the right place at the right time. Does he solve our lack of creativity if he slots in on either wing or even in the 10 role? Categorically no. Does he help free up space for the wingers by breaking the lines? Debatable Does he press well? Debatable In a team that has none of the above issues, would his ability to be the beneficiary of a lot of chances fall his way mean we would score goals? Yes
  11. Hahaha yeah to be fair that's amusing.
  12. Hopefully the home game to Lecce on 7th December doesn't get moved. I'm earmarking that.
  13. Probably back up to Fatawu on the right. To think he once scored 18 goals in a season in the Championship.
  14. Only the 265 pal. Navigation would be ideal but feared i'd not use it as much as I think I would for the extra cost. That said I do have an appalling sense of direction but on the 265 the course needs to be pre-loaded for simple navigation.
  15. Looks some absolutely horrible business you've done bar Egali
  16. Got a few events lined up. Going to do Northampton half marathon next weekend, Leicester in Oct, Clowne in Chesterfield in Nov and then Brum the week before Xmas. Need to then step up my training as doing a 30+ mile run in memory of my mum in March and never gone beyond 20 miles before. Will then use thst as a base for a marathon in April/May. Had a few new bits of kit. Wife's got in to running a bit so she's had my year old Garmin and i've ordered a new one 😂😂😂
  17. Whats the option fee on Carranza?
  18. I agree. I'd be concerned if we go a midfield three of Soumare, Skipp and James against most opposition but if we land upon one DCM with a box to box role from James and then Ramsay slightly more advanced then it should give us that balance.
  19. 100% agree. If he is only considered as a 8/10 then I have concerns about whether he will make it in the top two divisions in this country. As a LW, I think he has a good chance.
  20. If Faes goes to Turkey next week we might
  21. Be keen to see how we function with him in the team. Looks like he holds the ball up and his finishing in the box is his strongest part of his game. We need to be able to get up pitch and create these chances. The comments he's extremely slow are a concern as that would appear to limit the ability to press but let's wait and see.
  22. Been crying out for a 6ft+ central midfielder who can tackle track his runners, pass well, progress the ball, arrive late in to the box and generally be the all round midfielder we need. Ndidi in part has done that in recent years but it's not been his natural game and Soumare whilst theoretically should do most of that, doesn't. A loan with a very modest option to buy is in theory one of the best bits of business we've done in a while so fingers crossed it works out.
  23. Hopefully him and Briggs go on loan to Leuven
