Russell Martin was offered the job and this has come direct from Martin's best friend, which i'm not sure why he would make that up.

Leicester vs Peterborough United - Pre-Season
Ric Flair replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Get me a manager who will put faith in this pool of academy players. I don't want a manager coming in and giving the likes of Reid, Faes, Coady, Vestergaard etc a chance to prove themselves. 65-70% of this squad need to be told they've got no future here and get out of our club. Make the place unpleasant for them and let's rebuild. I've had enough.- 620 replies

Having spoken recently with a very well respected journalist, we may well want Rohl but we also have this notion we need an experienced manager to sort the player culture at this club. Once again the club don't have a strong vision, they're undecided. An experienced manager might well be out of kilter with the mass of academy players emerging, so this really is critical they get this appointment right and it's worrying we're probably once again at the mercy of agents presenting the candidates for us to be easily convinced by Top and Rudkin.
-
It'll be from a select band of managers who have been presented to Top and Rudkin via agents and then will be very much down to who does the best MS PowerPoint presentation. I'd be looking at which managers Johnny Morris has links with as well as CAA Stellar. We really are that limited.
-
What could scupper us is the sheer malaise of these players who evidently don't want to be here but are seemingly stuck. Seen it before at this level.
-
Where on earth do they keep getting their money from?
-
With that squad i don't think that's as impressive as it obviously ought to be. Time will tell, as I say i'm probably being unfair but he came across as bang average as a coach here IMO.

If PSR is a major issue for 25/26 then 24/25 was too and yet we didn't sell anyone last month. I'd argue multiple breaches would make selling players to try and comply futile. Just fight fire with fire.
-
Putting himself forward for it, our lot are easily convinced with MS PowerPoint.
-
He starts very well at clubs, that's about it

I'm convinced it's going to be Gary O'Neil

I keep saying to myself CHRIS WILDER IS A BUM in Tyson Fury's voice after his insults he used to throw at Deontay.

KP polo kit and them horrid jeans

Every time I see Aluko on the ball he seems an absolute beast. Think he's my outside pick as the academy player who comes through and shines the most this season.
-
Stansfield would be our striker comfortably. Daka has fell apart and just don't see anyone rescuing him here.
-
Birmingham's biggest weakness might be their manager. Just not having him at all but I maybe massively unfair/wrong on him.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

Will it be lifted once paid or not? -
Will cover it on the next podcast. Chaos

Don't think I've ever seen a managerial vacancy barely be reported in the media, either everyone's had enough of us or we are that much of a mystery the media genuinely can't even fabricate who the possible candidates might be. Same with transfers, it's a complete vacuum right now. Tallies with what I've recently heard from someone close to Brussell Martin.

Seems a very harsh restriction does it not? Fair enough Sheffield Wednesday who have had ample problems but a transfer embargo for a late payment of just £1m is staggering. -
Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
Ric Flair replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Anything north of £8-9m is a profit on the books with him. -
Not sure, but if he were leaving us he had to notify the club and the league of his intention to do so in June. So it seems a formality he's signing a pro deal here when he turns 17.
-
In essence we'd likely cover the severance as part of his signings on fee here.
-
I'm interested to see which position he develops in. I think he's more of a support forward/winger but time will tell.
