  1. We also had 2 chances from within the 6 yard box! We definitely created more than usual
  2. Penalty miss is forgivable Missing that header was shocking and almost unforgivable, but Ayew would not have even been in the box so I still think he is the better option
  3. First Half and remembering we are a relegation threatened team away to play off hopefuls - they have had a good half Good Defensive shape that has given very little away A midfield working and winning the ball in the midfield created the penalty moment We missed a penalty and our heads did not immediately dropped - Earlier this season, we would have instantly collapsed the moment something went wrong - instead ended the half the better side And although not great, we look like we could create something on the counter Mendy in their defence is a weak link and we need to keep attacking him Also no idea why we have 8 minutes of added time, for what appeared to be hydration breaks!
  4. So I’m predicting Lascalles to pull up injured in the first half Dakas only touch in the opposing penalty area will be when he has fell over on the floor Ayew on for Daka on 60 minutes and alongside at least one other pointless sub
  5. You ever played Championship Manager / Football Manager on multiplayer mode and send a manager goes on holiday just leaving the computer to play the same team and same formations each week ... it feels like that - but in the game the substitutions are less planned
  6. Win all 4 leagues within 20 years!
  7. I completely agree Why the fans are at civil war, the protests will go unheard It will only work if the fans are united and ours most certainly are not Some days it’s disconnection, others it’s fury, but one thing is certain and that is we can only sit and watch
  8. At this rate we can add League two in 2028 and have won all 4 leagues and fa cup in a 20 year period!
  9. The players have been protesting and going on strike for well over a year and it has made no difference - what difference do you think a fan protest will make? And yes I'm been facetious in the aftermath of the torture this afternoon and do actually fully support another protest
  10. Why did he pick Daka for game after game after game then he scores And dropped never to start again Strikers are not allowed to score He even subbed James today just to make sure we wouldn't test their goalkeeper in the 2nd half!
  11. What was the point of any of our winter signings 3 rarely play and Mukasa creativity died within a couple of games This was Rudkin/Glover recruitment at it's finest!
  12. If the players continue to refuse to care about the predicament then yes Every other club with fight when in a relegation battle... we will sit there doing nothing, gifting goals and waiting for James or Fatawu to score a screamer
  13. Made 3 predictable subs at 60 minutes, but did not change tactics that created absolutely nothing Honestly I think he picks his subs before the matches and refuses to change plan - another pointless manager... made us harder to beat away so we may get 4 points away from home - what the hell is use of that if we continue to offer nothing in attack or at home
  14. He had a shocker today and made a stupid decision in midweek If he is the future of our defence I... wait still better than Faes
  15. Controlled the ball Created Nothing Deserved to lose Gifted goal after goal to QPR Rowett waits until it was too late Players simple refused to try to score in the 2nd half - just did f*** all and gave nothing - NO EFFORT AGAIN (in the 2nd half)
  16. Well Mavididi just put one in the 2nd tier - just so you can't use that after the match It is now 1 lazy shot in the final 35 minutes when chasing a game and the players wonder why the fans boo them
  17. Fatawu just running into trouble instead of switching to Richards is one of the major problems we have. The players don't trust each other so try to do too much (on the rare occasion they put in effort)
  18. 78% possession in the 2nd half for xG of 0.19!
  19. I don't think we have created a chance A James wonder goal And conceding 3 thanks to Nelson and Jakub having shockers - QPR have not had to do anything
  20. I have no problem returning to normal, Leicester has been a fun and at times frustrating side to support. I do however have a problem with people thinking this is the normal... we were in League one attitude. As you say we are a decent size club who should always aim to be ambtious Our normal is bottom half of the top flight, putting up a hell of a fight week in week out - the foxes never quit attitude or the top half of the 2nd flight fighting for promotion. We should not be in a position where we are fighting relegation in the Championship and although this is the first season out of my Leicester Normal for a while - our last two relegations we did not see the fight or the passion from the players we have in relegation battles of the past and for a lot of this season that mentality has been presence. This mentality should have been stamped out from the club, but it stems from the top down - reaction to relegation last season was "we promote next year" as if it was a given and would just happen without anyone having to work for it Oh - this is the match thread - so I'll add we were much improved against Bristol City so same again, I would prefer Mukasa in for Reid and to line up as two number 8s (James & Mukasa) instead of two number 6s (James & Skipp)
  21. I have no inside information - it is rumor. But League 1 average wage is £1500-£2000 a week, Premier League development squads are usually on an average £2000 a week (and we were premier league when we signed Opoko) - Cartwright/Wanya were rumoured to be on 3K , Logan Briggs is rumoured to be on £2k a week - I honestly expect it to be less, but he won't get much more so will not have much incentive to sign for another team He turned down the MLS draft to sign for us, so I doubt we got him on a really low wage And I still doubt anyone will pay for him and definately not any real amount No he was signed from Syracuse University - no fee would have been paid - the US colleges are not even entitled to compensation we would have to pay a standard academy
  22. Based on what? And who is signing him? Our development players (i believe) are often on higher salaries than League 2 players, so Opoku will surely sit out his final year of his contract... if not at Leicester then on loan with Leicester supplimenting his wages for another season. Average fee for a League player is no more than £100K, so what profit are we likely to make - and that fee would be a decent player when Opoku has started just one of the last 6 games at Newport
  23. It suggests the worrying suggestion that these 24 year old and 23 year old who have not been good enough to make our current squad are expected to be squad players next season as we can't afford to replace the senior players out of contract. It is also proof that the Sporting Director will have no say in the club as Rudkin gets these completed before McCarron arrives
  24. Keeping a 24 year Old who is not at League 2 standard is not a good sign However, with so many people out of contract in the summer and with no money I expect we can actually afford him so may end up being a squad player next season - which is a worrying sign for where we are heading and why are we offering contracts 2 weeks before the sporting director starts Although he could just have pictures of Rudkin in a compromising positions and Rudkin has rushed the deal through before McCarron starts
  25. Undecided We are 1 win in 5 and that currently is good enough to keep us up, but is that the form we need next season? We just hired a technical director that usually favours youth and academy prospects, but Rowett will always go for experience With so many players out of contract is the players that will be brought in the experience that rowett would want or the potential McCarron will probably look for Is our target next year just to avoid relegation? Its too early to say, I’m not against giving him the job if he does well, but just surviving especially if WBA continues to play as bad as they are is not enough - we need to see further improvement
