  1. Just be patient, he's only 20! He'll get a run for sure during the AFCON when Mahrez is away, and may even get into the team before then. I can't believe we got him for £3.5m. That is a steal for an exciting attacking English player in today's market.
  2. I was in SK1 for this one and even there I felt the atmosphere was more muted than usual. The nature of the game didn't help things and in the first half there was a fair amount of stoppage time due to a Southampton injury. The game like the crowd never really got going. To be honest it's the sort of problem that a lot of the bigger teams around Europe have - great atmosphere on European nights but less so during the league. This kind of makes me sad as this is the greatest era we have ever seen as fans. Even if we have a mid-table finish I am still pinching myself that we are in this position! But last year was an Adrenalin fueled ride that realistically we may not see for a while. It is understandable that sometimes the ground might feel flat. And even though it did feel flat, I have to say the Porto atmosphere was electric! I just wished every game was like that in terms of atmosphere.
  3. Might not be for a while but when AFCON is on we will be without Mahrez for 3-7 games. I'm sure Grey will get his run in the team then. Likewise expect to see Kaputska coming off the bench around the same time. Personally I find the development of those 2 plus Amartey exciting. Often teams buy young talent but it's very hit and miss. Grey and Amartey are already pretty good. They could definitely end up being star players for the team in a few seasons.
  4. Fantastic atmosphere! Truly a special night and well done to all that were there and part of it. Even where I was sitting (East stand, near fairly quiet folk) people were in awe of it. I'd love us to be regulars in the Champions League, despite all of the corporate rules behind it, UEFA do a great job of making it feel really special. Really looking forward to Copenhagen and Porto and I would *love* a long run in this competition. I'd love for us to have a crack at Real Madrid in 2017!
  5. Good showing tonight. Think MOTM is being generous as for me yet again Drinky ran the show. But tonight he made some good forward passes with one in the second half to Slimani (I think) being incredibly classy. With experience and confidence this guy could become a beast. Inconsistent but given that performance in the Champions League, he looks like value for money.
  6. I'm sorted for Porto but definitely interested for Copenhagen! Would happily contribute to the cost also as its way cheaper than the train. In other business the Bruge game at Stags Head was immense! Air con broke and they wouldn't open the doors because there was a dodgy vehicle outside meaning they had to close the road. It just made the experience even more memorable!
  7. ^Yeah that will be the big one! So excited for it!
  8. The Liverpool game will be shown at The Stags Head tomorrow. I'm planning on heading down to see it.
  9. There's a pub called The Stags Head near Great Portland Street that has a Leicester following. I guess most people will be there for the Bruges game (unless you are lucky enough to have tickets and the day off work!). There were some good nights in there last season, I remember a particularly memorable one against Newcastle when Shinji scored the winner as a stand-out!
  10. Anyone going to the Burnley game? I am.
  11. I'm planning on getting the train, but will also likely stay over night as the last train back can be sketchy! By the way for any of the other London folks here, I usually go to most weekend home games but travel up from London. If anyone fancies travelling up as a pack of foxes (sorry, that joke is a bad one!) then let me know. I quite often see a few other Foxes fans at St. Pancras when I travel upwards, it would be fun to travel together to get in the mood, especially as our team of ours is making us all proud right now!
  12. I'm travelling up from London for it, but alas no car!
  13. Anyone from London going to either the Arsenal or Swansea game? I'm going through both. Also so plan to go to the Stags Head for the Hull game. COYB!
  14. So jealous of those who had tickets today! Amazing job every one of you, made us all proud! Incredible supporters! For all of us that are at games for the remainder of the season, sing your heart out! We are the 12th that can fire us to victory!!!
  15. Hi everyone, I'm another London Fox! Are any of you guys planning to watch the Arsenal game on Sunday, and if so where?
  16. New member here. I've stalked these forums for years, but feel compelled after the great escape to post. Like many I thought we were dead and buried at Christmas. I never wanted NP to leave, I think even if we had got relegated he should have stayed as the 100 point haul in the Championship is the sign of a great manager and I'm delighted that he managed to turn things round so spectacularly. This Leicester team reminds me a lot of the Martin O'Neil team of the 90's in that the collective whole adds up to more than the sum of it's parts. We have very few superstars, but there is an awesome team spirit and the players give it their all. It makes me proud to support a team like this. And of course we have the magic man Esteban Cambiasso who has been an absolute delight to see play this season. I was worried he might be just another aging player coming over for one last paycheck but he has been a revelation and I imagine that many of the teams much higher in the table regret not having made an approach for him. I hope he stays one more season, but even if he goes, he's been a real class act and all-round great guy to see play in the flesh. Onwards LCFC to even greater heights next season!
