Rumour is King is going to be a starter - not at all sure what to type after that.

Schmeichel didn't manage 1 save in the game and conceded two goals, one of his own making, so it'll be interesting to see how he comes out. Drakovic was playing out of position but was way beyond poor to put that as an excuse. King, well no one does it quite like King. The team seems to be splitting into good consistent performers and dog ugly ones, should make the recruitment focus quite easy.

Bollocks, King is King - about as penetrative as a knife hitting a stone. The only time he manages a defence splitting pass is when he does a back pass to Schmeichel. He had tremendous pass stats yesterday, the best in the side because they were all back passes, even the side ways passes were backwards. He did manage one tackle but got walked around and past shortly after that in the first half and then became invisible after that, presumably hiding somewhere in Ndidi's shadow. To suggest he could play a role in young player development is showing probably a bit too much respect as how many Kings could one team actually cope with.

We know King and Ndidi just doesn't work in midfield. Ndidi and Iborra works well when Iborra plays well. Where will Adrien Silva fit into this? Would Iborra move to the top of the D in a sweeper kind of role? Hopefully the arrival of Silva can finally mean King is consigned to part time in under 23 games. Struggling to see where Silva fits in, we don't need another misfit to join the Musa, Slimani and Natcho mould of misfits.

I typed that last season. Doesn't happen, don't know why but it just doesn't.

What we learned - Scmeichel is in poor form. Drago needs selling. Midfield no good without Iborra. King, well nothing we didn't already know. Lots of scope to introduce new players plus a new RB please.

I rated Simpson a 3 against Man U. Amartey a 1. Think Drago will struggle to manage 2 here. New RB needed, just like it was two years ago.
