The Nantes campaign he chose to sit out for wasn't a 'make everyone gay' campaign, it was a campaign about gay rights, and protections from oppression and violence. I don't care if any Muslim wants to think being gay is wrong because of their religion. That's their problem. The problem comes when they oppose movements in support of general gay rights. Thinking something is wrong, and fighting to have people who are that thing be oppressed are different. Also if you don't want to have to take part in these campaigns, maybe don't play in ****ing europe

Exactly, what people seem to forget is whether or not we are their chosen destination, it's still their career on the line. They're not gonna just come here and not bother, because it will likely ruin their career, or at the very least slow it down. If a player comes and acts like that, in all likelihood they are a player with a poor attitude, that was going to find some reason to act like that at some point regardless.

There is also the possibility that it's not so much he 'doesnt want to come here' but that he 'has an agent that recognises if we believe he doesn't want to come here, we might offer him more money' this would also be supported by the fact that the reports early on were that he did want to come here. Nothing ruins bargaining power like actually being up for it

Players like wilf really reveal how many fans think they are fountains of footballing knowledge, who have some secret information no one else has. 'when will the penny drop' 'its a no brainer'. Honestly get over yourselves. The truth is, Wilf at his best is a very good player. But he fell a long way from his best last couple years in the PL. But he looked a lot better last year. Sure it was in a lower league, but it was also in totally different circumstances, under a different manager. I think it's fair to argue he seemed to enjoy his football a lot more last year than he had in the couple of years prior. Realistically, there is no way to reliably say how well he will do should we resign him. He might be great, he might be shite again, there is plenty of evidence to suggest either outcome is possible, and anyone claiming to know exactly how it will play out is being ridiculous.
