Playing Shadow Man Remastered. A game I’d have like to have played back in the day on the 64 but I was a bit too young at the time. A right maze of a game. Enjoying myself though. Along with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash N-Sane Trilogy, Doom 64, Quake 64 (1 and 2), Turok (1 and 2) I’ve been going through loads of late 90s games I missed out on. Bliss. Wish the Rareware games of 90s would get same remastered treatment as Spyro/Crash. I’d be in heaven.

Who cares? The players don’t so why should we? I remember as a wee lad going to St James Park and they were celebrating promotion and were 6-0 up at half time. I can see the same here as they celebrate top-4. And we look back thinking we were there two years ago until we threw it all away…! Club is in a mess. The fan/players relationship has never been this bad as far as I can remember. Honestly, just play the players that are going to at least be here next season and see what happens…

Just picked up ‘The Messenger’ for £7 on the Switch. Anyone here played it? Great retro-style game.

Maddison is far too good for Newcastle. He is also far too good for how average we are now. Don’t begrudge him a move at all.

Stats can be misleading. Felt we had a massive gaping hole when he was on the pitch and Forest got in ‘between the lines’ a fair few times. A better team would have punished us. I agree with the notion that he isn’t a DM, he just isn’t aware enough. He’s more of a box to box midfielder.

Indeed. The Ori games are quality. I completed the first playing on hard difficulty because I’m mental. Then I was enjoying the sequel (on normal diff) but had to put it down as bought too many games at once. I’m sure I’ll go back and finish the sequel as it is a great game but I find it bizarre how I beat the first game and stopped playing the second when the second is the better game…maybe I need to up the diff to hard haha.

Depends on your tastes but there’s currently a shed load of 2D platformers on the system… If you liked the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy in the SNES (play them on NSO if you haven’t already) then there are three games just like them on Switch… Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze A masterpiece in 2D platforming. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Created by a few members of the Rareware team that were behind the original SNES DKC games. Kaze and the Wild Masks A love letter to the DKC series. I got it cheap on sale the other day for £8.99 (may still be on sale) and it’s superb. All three cracking games if you enjoy the original DKC games.

Indeed. I did that. Scrolled down the options for no vote but couldn’t find one so just left it with the default.

I’d love a 2D Metroid collection to be released. And a remastered Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask with Quality of life improvements - rather than play them on the n64 online service.

Was interested. But it’s too costly considering I have an n64 still and I could just buy the sega mega drive collection. Staying with the basic as I love playing the SNES on it.

I’m embracing the digital age but hate paying over £40 for a game so the current Switch eshop sale is nice. I picked up Super Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for £33 each. Both seem mega games so far. 100 moons collected in Mario and up to world 2’s boss in DKC.
