  2. I've done Paris on the Eurostar in a day a couple of times many years ago, it wasn't called an EDT then though, it was just a day in Paris
  3. Not necessarily. UK to Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands are all under 3 hours, and some of the airports are much closer than an hour transfer time. You can be much longer in a destination than half a day, and the whole point originally was that you can go somewhere in Europe for a day cheaper than a day out in the UK. It's not for me either, but I understand why some people do it.

  7. I've used the same word since I started playing, and another poster used the same, although they don't post their result anymore. It's not come up yet though

  10. Faffing about with what? We can stay in Montreal for around €100, and the eta will cost €4. When you say pay extra for a better flight do you mean one which doesn't include a stopover in Canada?
  11. Booking.com, I use them for most of our stays tbh. We're staying at the Riad Ciel d'Orient next week but there's loads on there

  13. I'm disappointed the boos weren't louder
  14. We're travelling to the Dominican Republic for a cruise in November, and looking at flights. We have an option to go via Montreal with Air Canada with a 17 hour layover, am I mad to consider it? I really like the idea of having a few hours to see a little bit of Montreal, but is it worth it? I'm a long haul novice so need some thoughts please.
  15. My IPTV has parental controls with a pin so it's definitely possible
  16. What do you mean by child friendly? My IPTV has all the children's channels, and the interface is very easy to use, very similar to Sky from a few years ago
  17. That's amazing

  20. Boarder and border And not even spelled similarly, but of and have. Why oh why do people still type 'had of' and 'could of' when they mean have? Drives me insane.

  22. Funnily enough I was just booking tickets for Majorelle when I saw this earlier, it's on the return list of things we didn't manage last week. The first week was more about keeping the teenage daughter entertained Next time we will be doing the 'not so cool' things, at least when you're 18, so Majorelle, Bahia Palace, a traditional hammam and the coffee museum, although the latter does seem to have become some kind of Insta paradise, aka my worst nightmare! Further to the alcohol thing, our Riad has said that even though they are understandably not serving during Ramadan we can take our own in. Such lovely, accommodating people, it's currently top of my places to move to if we ever feel the need to move from Spain
  23. Hopefully not a typical alcohol fuelled stag, it's very expensive. We paid around €15 per bottle of wine in the supermarket, and around €10 per glass or €30 per bottle in the restaurants, cocktails were €10-12 each, bottles of Corona were also €10 and Heineken was €8. At least that is expensive compared to what we pay in Spain, I don't know how it compares these days to the UK.
  24. It was amazing, thank you for asking. The locals were so friendly and welcoming, we loved it all so much we're going back to do it all again in 2 weeks
