Surely you'd be able to tell the difference between a failed rocket and an air or missile strike!. I'd imagine an air/missile strike would cause way more damage than a failed rocket.

A peace keeping force wouldn't work as Palestinians wouldn't accept it and they would see it as further occupation. We've seen in places like Lebanon in the past that foreign troops and peacekeepers would be attacked. Palestinians and Arabs see any peacekeeping force as pro Israel. Bombing hospitals is a war crime but Hamas use hospitals and other buildings and Hamas merge with the civilian population making it difficult to target without major collateral damage and deaths of Palestinian civilians.

The whole middle east is a tinder box Palestinians against Israelis, sunni against Shia, Saudi Arabia, U.S, allies against Iran, Syrian leadership, hezbollah. There have been allied massacres of civilians in Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq.terrorists are evil and they target civilians to make their point and its evil and vile and sickening but let's not kid ourselves that Israel and western allies and Saudi Arabia havnt carried out their own atrocities on civilians. All civilian life is precious and one should not succeed the other.

There is so much history, hypocrisy and double standards from everyone, allsides when it comes to this conflict. One person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. Both sides are guilty of atrocities on civilians. America and other nations slams Hamas as terrorists while conveniently forgetting that America funded the I.r.a for years when they were killing British soldiers in Northern Ireland. Let's not forget before Bin Laden turned on them they were funding him and his organisation when he was fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. Palestinians after 1969 lost their homes and land and Gaza is just the worlds biggest open air prison camp where most live in extreme poverty. There are extremists on both sides that shut down the moderates in their communities spouting hatred of one another and are unwilling to compromise as both sides believe they have a justified and legitimate claim to the land.

This would be a war crime. But let's be honest war crimes trials are only for those the west has defeated!.
