  1. Feel for the Brewers but what a 9th inning for the Mets. Pete Alonso facing his possible last ever at-bat for the Mets, slams a 3-run go ahead homer. First guy in history to hit a go-ahead homer whilst trailing in the 9th inning in a postseason all-or-nothing game. The Amazin' are back
  2. Anybody else's Android wallet still showing Everton tickets? No option to download Bournemouth tickets when I log-in on the club website
  3. Mets into the play-offs after winning the first of their 2 final games at the Braves today. Crazy game, Mets trailed by 3 going into the top of the 8th, racked up 6 to lead 6-3, only to give up 4 in the bottom of the 8th to trail 7-6. Then Lindor hits a 2-run homer in the top of the 9th for a Mets 8-7 lead, which they managed to hold on to. Now Braves need to win the 2nd game of this double-header to clinch their place in the play-offs. Hope they don't as I'd rather seen the D-Backs in there
  4. Yep. Just hung it up there. Gotta learn not to throw that one under that kind of pressure
  5. Apart from Jefferson who is a pain in the backside!
  6. Packers back in it, having pulled back 3 TDs
  7. Packers being taught a lesson here
  8. Terrible choice of name. I'm guessing it's something to do with the president residing in Washington and being the commander-in-chief. Whatever the reason, it's rubbish. And it replaced the iconic 'Redskins'. Criminal!
  9. You may have commented on this already in the past, but how did you feel about the name change? To me Cleveland will always be the Indians, in much the same way as NFL's Washington will always be the Redskins. I always saw those original names as nothing less than a full respect and appreciation of history.
  10. Ridiculous figures. He actually took that 50th stolen base home with him!
  11. Even at 4th and 16, you just knew the Chiefs would win this game. It's getting boring now!
  12. A waste of £20 mate! 🙂
  13. For the second time in four starts, Bowden Francis pitches a no-hitter going into the 9th for the Blue Jays, and comes up short. Only one no-hitter in Blue Jays history, Dave Stieb in September 1990. So close.
  14. Long live that voice
  15. I remember it well. They had a camera shot on Rodgers as pick after pick went by without Rodgers being selected. It was fully expected that the 49ers would take him. Funnily enough as a Packers fan I wasn't overly excited when we got him, but I will be forever grateful for 2010.
  16. If memory serves, Rodgers has a terrible recent record against the Niners
  17. You'll find some of us in the sci-fi/fantasy thread!
  18. Highway To Hell - AC/DC Piece Of Mind - Iron Maiden 2112 - Rush Load - Metallica No Need To Argue - The Cranberries
  19. Tempted to stay up late and watch it. Fully expect the Pack to win it all this year
  20. Mets? In all seriousness, it must be boring supporting a perennial play-off team!
  21. Had high hopes for the Blue Jays this season, especially coming off of 3 consecutive solid winning seasons, but it wasn't to be. There's no sport like Baseball when it comes to play-offs. The excitement and intensity goes up quite a few levels and then some, and you really miss it when you ain't in it. Lived for a while in Toronto during the Carlos Delgado days, but even then we weren't making the play-offs, and a barren run of missing out stretching back to the '93 World Series continued relentlessly until 2015 and that unforgettable ALDS game 5 against the Rangers. When I want to cheer myself up I just watch that crazy unbelievable Jose Bautista bat-flip 7th inning again. Every Blue Jay fan will instantly know what I mean. I wish I could have somehow been in the stadium that night, that moment, to experience that! Even when you watch it back on YouTube, when he hits that home-run off the back of everything that had just happened in that 7th inning, the noise and reaction from the crowd is like nothing I have heard before. Here's hoping for a better 2025 season..
  22. I'd be disappointed if we didn't get linked to at least one of Maupay or Awoniyi..
  23. Solid figures for Nvidia as expected. After-hours market doing its usual bed-wetting
  24. Well done Red Star, could've easily been down by more after the 1st leg. Came back to win it tonight, roared on by 50,000 in the rain at the Rajko Mitic Marakana.
