  1. In what world does unrealistic expectations make you some sort of weird super fan?
  2. Well yes, that’s what I was alluding too (and if you are trying to make any correlation between Ayew and Maddison, you are one your own here) As I said to @SafewayFox he is best served as being subbed on late on to drag the game to a conclusion with buying fouls, keeping it in the corner type stuff, something he is capable of, but you do not want that from minute 1! He can do other stuff, like scoring that worldy but yeah, it’s not really his game at all, so I agree.
  3. Just cos your star striker Kier is firing blanks, there is no need for Trump-ish new truths is there?
  4. That’s fine, that’s why I said squad player*. He is more experienced/savvy so should be used to that end, to help us manage a game to its conclusion. So no, he does not improve our starting XI but it’s a team game, and no he has no resale value, but that does not make them a mistake, as we did the hoped for profiteering signing in Bilal, Okoli, Skipp, etc. * re-read and my post was badly worded or at least incomplete, sorry, as I wrote “It’s the fact he is a starter, waffling about Abdul…” when it should have said “..he is a starter and that is the problem” Do agree that McAteer could offer similar to what Ayew does, albeit without the smarts. Reid? Meh
  5. Fascinating stuff @StriderHiryu
  6. And those fans were wrong. He is fine as a squad player. It’s the fact he is a starter, not even saying of Abdul should start, even Buounatte would be a sensible option
  7. It’s not too early to hope, but King Power do not roll that way, so it’s to early to expect.
  8. That was by far the biggest disappointment today.
  9. Adrift of what? We are fifteenth
  10. Of course, but my confusion is why a certain portion of the FT faithful, think it’s the wrong call. They are not as close too the squad, are unlikely to be as well informed on the physical state of players, so I can only assume this desire stems from previous evidence, which is a bit of a favouritism conclusion. Don’t get me wrong, today underwhelmed massively, but that is a different thing.
  11. Does that make it correct then? This passing interest does not sound like a point of knowledge, more a popular one.
  12. Why are they big calls? Isn’t that his entire job anyway? We may have fond recollections of any player, but they are memories and if they do not fit in to the new managers (for better or for worse) plans, then he will replace them. Be pissed of he didn’t, but yes it would be nice to see last seasons Ricky, Abdul, but it must be his call until he gets it right or buggers off. Today was a real low point, a poor showing, poor team ethic until the end when we went more gung ho. We are at the point of acceptance for our position in the table, but it sure does look precarious.
  13. Of course it is, he has done it before and been far better than today.
  14. Assumed it (the post you were responding too) was a post match disappointment post. At least I hope so!!
  15. Do you mean Skipp? (All these Tottenham lads look the same) edit . Saw you realised.
  16. His dither on the attack as to which pass to make today was frustratingly, hilariously charming.
  17. Ah, so we are planning to hold tight to Everton, stink the place out, and drag them down to the EFL with us! Might be the only way to get them to flush I guess.
  18. It grim, as any team with anything about them would have beaten us too!
  19. Well if the owners are looking at what the fans are doing and not at the table, then we really are buggered!
  20. Fair, the hysterical-ness included.
  21. Pariah it is then. Lets get a slightly larger sample size, eh?
  22. Everyone knows action never comes before we are more a win from safety, so don’t expect much yet.
  23. You are of course correct but really felt today was an opportunity and we fell short.
  24. For me, not too dissimilar, but the crime today was our lack of cohesion, our lack of pressing patterns, not making space for out balls. We really failed to preform as a team and lacked a plan, at least until we went gung ho late on, we is the antithesis of a plan anyway. Really quite disappointed.
  25. Pretty sure some wanted this idiot over Enzo.
