  1. No better way to sign him, than being forced to sign him.
  2. Interesting fixtures for Ipswich and Leeds, arguably more challenging then ours, away to Watford and Sunderland respectively
  3. Today was not business as usual and people will look to see things they want to see, like Enzo has learnt and we will play more directly from here on, which I don’t think is true at all. Plymouth went forward when it was arguably not wise to do so. That’s was what today was, no more.
  4. There is no question in my mind, that Plymouth’s courage played a part in our substantial victory margin, so back to the norm of parked buses I imagine
  5. Harsh on Fatawu tbh
  6. Nice bit of rest for KDH and Wilf
  7. Sensational stuff
  8. Please sign Fatawu
  9. Go on Patson!!!!
  10. Its almost like people turn up with preconceptions
  11. Agree, I just cannot see how they would come to such an odd conclusion
  12. Think we just about deserve to be ahead, but this feels a bit disingenuous from the Beeb
  13. Weird half. Well on top and looked like we could pull away, but then we demonstrated a weakness (Faes, who is normally quite reliable) and they rallied.
  14. Faes doing Faes things
  15. Thats why you take your man on!
  16. Patson I assume
  17. Would suggest both can be true if, as you would expect, every player has many instructions. Beat a man. Don’t lose the ball. Two simple and likely instructions which could easily contradict and prevent the other. I had hoped (and am still hoping) that the decision making would be a core tenant of Enzo’s process and that the when to beat the man and ‘risk it’ would become more evident as time goes on.
  18. He has never been a prolific goal scoring outside of rare periods and should not be judged solely on that as he is a more complete player, but this season his output on any basis has been poor, and an occasional good pass does not excuse this disappointing output.
  19. Think @Claudio Fannieri you got it right there about how and why to play a certain way against us, certainly compared to Leeds, who are basically more reckless. I understand this is more exciting, but it’s less controlled and less liable for results longer term. The low block and pressure high up the pitch, is certainly looking like the recognised way to attempt to unpick our extremely resolute defence.
  20. Cannot decide if Forest vs Everton is no win or no lose.
  21. Saw today several times that the only way to coax West Brom out of their half was to do the much maligned passing around at the back, not just that, but the greater jeopardy involved in your passing around, the greater chance they take the bait and come and close down and try and steal the ball. It may look pointless, but I really do not think it is. As you said, it’s not rocket science.
  22. Rarely seen an opposition team who were so outrageously open to a counter attack at such a critical time. Yes it was proper exciting, especially for us! But despite what Carlos said post match, I cannot imagine being quite so open was partially impressive.
  23. Think Sky should have a small 2D pitch with player positions on in the top right, would help nerds see why a pass was or wasn’t attempted
